fatbloke should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Can anyone point me in the direction of any books which cover the history and development of the many British motorsport venues ? So far I have been unable to locate any, apart from one which covers Thruxton...

Wasn't there one published for Silverstone, for the 50th anniversary or something like that, but think it was majorly expensive.

I know of a book called 'British racing and racecourses' by Marion Halpenny.
I've checked and found out it was out of print.
ASIN number is: 0950139726.
Maybe it can be found at some used book stores.

Thanks for the tip Gerard - i'll keep an eye out for that one. You are sure it is a motor racing book though ? Sounds like a horsey racing book to me...

I have a book here (late 80s) called "The World Atlas of Motorsport." It covers just about every circuit in the world, but it isn't all that in depth. But it is facinating all the same

Hey Nigel - thanks for that, and welcome to 10 Tenths - even if it looks like another hole has just been burnt in my pocket!
