ERC Calendar 2010
I have seen on ERC24 that the Off-Road Commission are holding a meeting today to decide a (provisional) ERC 2010 Calendar...
I am sure many people on here would really appreciate anyone in the know updating us as and when they hear any info... Fingers crossed for Lydden!! |

Thank you "The Eye". Bit of a shame for Austria that the actions of Melk may have hindered Grenbach (it's nearly home time and I cannot be bothered to check if that is the correct spelling!)
But fantastic news for Lydden and a good time of year... Am very surprised to see Portugal back; not a well supported meeting and a very dull track (at least that's how it came across on TV) |

Shame to yet again not see the Eurocircuit on the calendar. But can't really blame them as they have done nothing with the track ever since.

Cant believe Norway has no round, champions in all classes, probably the biggest group of traveling fans, seems bizarre.
Portugal at Monteleagre, still in, that sucks its a bloody long way to go and you never see a Portugese driver anywhere else, spectating is limited (and I have problems with the portugese police waking me up 3am to move my tent when I had been there 3 days). Czech is not a very good track for spectating, and they messed up big time but is still in. Austria not having a round, when Melk messed up, means Greinbach loses out seems harsh. Never been to Finland so thats a bonus, its 3100km one way drive via Holjes but you get to pass through the Artic circle on the way!! ( at the guy who thinks its a long way from Nottinghamshire to Lydden). But the best news is BRITAIN is in So now the planning begins, this year I did 7 out of 10, can I improve on that. |

Exactly about Norway, how insane is that! Most of the top drivers come from up there, they all speak the same lingo! Dumb or what. Their loss Finlands gain, only hope is that MAtti has the Civic going better by then.
Lydden is an odd ball and will be until or unless Mondello get a round. That would be great but unlikely, other than that perhaps France and UK should be a weekend apart |

By the way, ERC24 says Lydden Hill will be on Whitsun Holiday, but Whit Monday will be on 24 May next year. So it's not a holiday for mainland Europe!

And you say this as if it is a problem!!! Its a holiday here Lydden needs to run the 2nd day on Monday due to noise restrictions and time constraints.

It is incredible that the noise restrictions have been imposed at Lydden. I know there are a couple of locals here, so correct me if I am wrong, but I think that the number of houses within a few miles of the circuit is about 1?! Compared to Brands Hatch (where AFAIK they can run on Sundays before 12), I think it is a bit Mickey Mouse and hopefully the council will allow some concessions (for a fee, of course.)
I hope the lack of holiday doesnt detract from the Entry numbers cos I am looking forward to this one already! |

Abso-floggin-lutely! Plus the first day is the best time to walk around the track, find your fave spot, go to the pits, talk to the drivers and then go nail your chair to the fences ready for the long haul on Sunday [edit: in Lydden's case, Monday]!

There is no use complaining about noise problems now, theya re a fact of life and having driven around Lydden this year on the way to teh track I can vouch that you can hear the track from quite far away.
Lydden is set in a very rural and idyllic area and it pays us all to be as cool as we can about noise issues, I think they have been very proactive in this, far more than many far more illustrious venues! |
