MLM should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
What happened to cart.com's forum?

I check them out every once in a while but today, I couldn't find them.
Were they a victim of the layoffs? No big deal. I'm just curious if anything happened or if they were moved.

REALLY?
That place seemed rather tame. I haven't been there for a while.
What happened?

Most of the internet racing forums got wind of the new public forum at the official site.
So, without making any assumptions here, many that showed up, took advantage of the open system, were usernames were easily changed. So there were many impostors and impersonators having a jolly time. It was another series vs. series, and forum vs. forum uglyness.
One of the reasons I`m here. I was not too happy about it.

There was alot of **** going on there which could be one reason for the short lived forum. Another reason is that forum wasn't to be online yet.

This is the only forum you'll need in any case.

A forum on an official series website would never allow for the full range of cross-championship discussion, even if it were properly regulated and moderated. Hoepfully other 'refugees' from the site will find their way here.

The mods on an "official" forum like that would have to be on payroll, as I couldn't think of a more thankless job than that. Especially given the fact that the autocensor would automatically delete any word that had the letters "I" and "R" in succession! Perhaps they're standing in line with Chris Kniefel right now, awaiting their final paycheque?

There are rumblings at other sites that it didn't last a day because of some kind of feud between two other sites that wanted to be the "official" site. Some of those guys used different handles from their own sites to fight the so-called war in there. It wasn't up long enough for me to even see it.

You mean it was CC FANS which brought the place down!? Don't tell me but does one of those feuding sites have the initials "CW"?

It was a disgrace. But pinpointing blame only on one group is wrong, it`s extremism on both sides. It gets tireing after awhile.

Damn, I registered there, put in a couple of initial "hello" type posts, and then when I returned the next day, it'd gone..

There were no dodgy posts while I were there, and this is news to me that there are TWO extremist websites, as I only was aware of one!!

Weird!

If you are referring to Champweb then the answer is no. I have inside info on this.

Well, one of my guesses was that one but I was also guessing the OTHER "CW" (or I should say "Cw...n"?)

Personaly I would have thought that the official site would have a high quality forum, with true Champ Car fans, a shame that it closed down, I would have had a look at it.

I think the last time I had a good read on that site was when you could ask tech questions and ask drivers in Las Vegas. I remember when I asked Patrick Carpentier what his favourite track was, taht was cool.

Thanks for clearing that up. Don't worry there will be a forum on the official site.

Who's worried?

What could I possibly learn elsewhere that I won't learn here? The members of 10T's, past-present-and-future, are always top-notch.

And that's not just "my opinion" - That's a fact.

Cheers to all of ya.

No need for it.

Ten-tenths champcar forum remains the only one worth using.
