A replica I understand from an interview with him re his car collection... Replica is probably the wrong word, as it seems to be a genuine factory built one of 11 factory (?) replicas as opposed to the genuine Le Mans car. Very nice though and no doubt very valuable. Stunning collection he has.

There are ‘replicas’ and then there are ‘replicas’!

Not unusual pre-war for FN and others to market a copy of a Le Mans car as a ‘Le Mans Replica’. My Dad had a ‘Brooklands’ Riley, but don’t think it had ever been near the place! Porsche stuck some Martini stripes on a 924 & called it a ‘924 Le Mans’, which was a very tenuous link.......

The colour scheme suggests it has to be Lance Reventlow car, but it doesn’t match any Scarab that I’ve seen over here..... (But it was over here.... )

Really like the TOJ in #796, especially in that iconic Warsteiner livery. For a long time I pronounced it ‘TODGE’, before someone suggested it is ‘TOY’. Can’t see why it should be, but sounds better....

An acronym of ‘Team Obermoser Jörg’, apparently, after the German Driver who started the team and built the cars.

I do not recall seeing a coupe race, there was one on show at FOS one year though.
Sure I have seen Joe Twyman & Miles Griffiths race a Kellison a few years ago. Was it the same car? I do not recall those wheels.

Mon Ami Robert, is it a coincidence if this thread was stopped for a moment after # 776 . Comme un moment de beauté éternelle suspendu Ã* un fil invisible… So romantic!

There are period pics of a car with them, but most have more normal alloys!

For you Gerard- a coupé..... https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/24809/lot/180/

It’s a Maserati 151/3 , Gerard, as is the car in last pic, but different year spec....

Think Obermoser only built a few TOJ sports racers. That the best looking one! We get the odd one with DFV in CER.....

Merci encore, Mike! A little bit between Batmobile, Panoz and Dodge way before the two last appear. This one went for little money and it was last year.

They were a fibreglass kit car (no offence meant) I believe, originally using Corvette C1 oily bits. Certainly dramatic!

Yves is a really a nice person, very fast and always a gentleman when he drives his Capri. He was really impressive in the wet with his Daytona Grp4 and fast with his B16 too. May be not the fastest of the four bros tho…

That Kellison was really cheap even for a fibreglass kit car. Maybe a 0 dropped as a typo.
