Will the last to leave switch off the lights.
And so it goes, another Motor Industry GM bites the dust.
A rudderless ship I wonder what the flow-on effect will be for V8's ? |

Since Chris Liddell is helping steer the global ship, maybe a Kiwi could be hired to steer the local ship

There have been three Holden heads internally promoted within the GM organisation recently, surely that shows the strength of how Holden is held in Global terms with in GM. I have thought for a while that reducing manufacturer involvement in V8s would be a good thing, irrespective of how it occurred. Didnt hure 888 last year much did it? I don't see them locking the gates at Fishos anytime soon. |

Because the way its managed, it sucks the life out of everything around it. And it really isn't *that* great after all.

I know my question is off-topic, but you believe this would be good for Australian motorsport? I've read a few posters with this opinion and am curious what you think would happen in the absence of the V8 championship as it exists now

That question assumes that V8 Supercars is inherently good for motorsport. I haven't seen any evidence of that.

It's good for the thousands of people who love the sport to the extent that they wish to make it their full-time occupation. They are only able to do so thanks to the commercial success of VESA.

I too believe he was promoted within the group - on the converse, this would indicate the strength of Holden in the GM group! The move is hardly a negative one would think?
