Ta, spent today watching it, so I'll give it a miss this time. Will keep it in mind for next week (and the remainder of the season)
3 hours worth, not too bad! |

The printed tv guide issued at the beginning of the end of January had NBL finals scheduled on Fox Sports 3, so perhaps a late minute deal. No sign of a V8s next Sunday so far on the online tv program.
Very few ad breaks and there were periods of Aaron Noonan commentating on his own, presumably at times when C7 were showing commercials. |

There is nothing scheduled for the next 30 days however. May have been a one off.

On the Foxtel Iphone app, there is a TBA session on next sunday night from 10pm for 4hrs. Might be for the Bahrain round?? The printed guides are printed a few months ago so back then it might not have been decided. Fingers crossed.
I noticed that there were parts where it was Noons commentating. You could hear the in-car hooting of SVG when he was overtaking CL, that Skaifey and co were talking about Last edited by Smokey Retirement; 21 Feb 2010 at 12:15. Reason: God my spelling sux tonight |

When they were on Fox a few years ago, V8s would usually be shown on a Monday or Tuesday night around 8pm. With the football codes beginning to crank up along with the English Soccer, Foxtel is usually fairly congested on a Sunday night.

Just checked my Foxtel TV Guide and the V8's are pencilled in to be shown at 10:30 (10EDT) Monday morning... Perfect chance for people like me who were working this weekend to watch! Thank you FOXTEL !

The V8s on Fox Sports was a very last minute deal. They will be showing all rounds except for the Melbourne F1 GP. They are taking the world feed, so you will see all laps , including laps where CH7 would normally take ad breaks. This is where you will hear Matt White and Cromley quieten down and Noonan pipe up in commentry. Most rounds will be races in full except the endurance races which will be slightly shortened.

Loving Fox Sports! Awesome to be able to catch up on the entire weekends racing (nearly) ad-free, without missing a lap, and missing all the usual pre-race nonsense

Coch0 ..
THE head of Australia's V8 Supercar series has predicted the sporting rights fees paid by the free-to-air networks for AFL, cricket, the NRL and V8s will continue to set records over the next decade, despite audience fragmentation.
His comments came as the motor racing series confirmed an international telecasting deal with ESPN Star in Asia, and announced it would be returning to Fox Sports after a three-year absence. Speaking to Media in Bahrain, where the V8 Supercars held their second round this weekend, Tony Cochrane predicted commercial networks would remain the major broadcaster of Australian sports, and said sport would continue to get massive fees for the rights, regardless of the outcome of the review of anti-siphoning laws. With negotiations for the next V8 broadcasting contract, and the internet and mobile rights, expected to begin next year, he believed their value would grow. AFL boss Andrew Demetriou has made an ambit claim valuing the next round of football rights at more than $1 billion -- a figure the network bosses have scoffed at. http://www.theaustralian.com.au/busi...-1225835350487 |
