Oran Park Round 7 Shannons Nationals
This weekend at Oran Park will mark the 7th Round of the Shannons Nationals. Headlining this weekend will be the 3 way battle for the Formula 3 championship between Tander, Hollings and Macrow.
Also on show will be Super Trucks, Australian GT, Australian Production Cars, Commodore Cup and Formula Vees. A pretty decent line up of categories that should put on an impressive show. |

Rain/showers is predicted for the weekend.Good lineup of categories although there are some strange and disappointing gaps in the entry list. For example in Commodore Cup neither of the top 2 in the series (Emery and Richert) are entered while in GT the Aston Martin and the TLA Gallardo will be absent. The F3 title battle should be fantastic although the overall F3 entry is probably the smallest of the year.

F3 Entry list was a bit of an anomoly - should be (A tad) larger than what is indicated on the Nationals site.

the event had a good write up in the Adelaide Advertiser this morning. 3/4 of a page.

NO. It's more like they got shafted by the current administration. With self serving rule changes and the new high H.P alloy heads only being made available to certain teams. Nice try Parker. Try another angle. |

Note that there are some changes to the F3 times as the some of the car / driver / class details held by Timing and Scoring are incorrect.
The F3 website has the correct results info. Cheers. |

Question - Did Garth win the "Gold Star"? Would be a nice feather in the cap of Leanne if she does!

Commodore Cup appear to be their own worst enemy at present.... if the missing competitors had shown it would have been a real bumper field.
In other news, the weather appears to be lifting, sun peeking out and quite warm.... I hope it stays this way! Tander takes Pole for Race 1 in F3 ahead of Macrow and Mawer |

Alan Shephard seems to have the little Mazda 3 MPS sorted as his lap times were only 3sec's off the 335 twin turbo BMW of Holts...
Might be a weekend for the Tanders...good luck Leannne. |

I (gu)estimate that the 3 championship contenders' scores of at the end of R1 are:
Mr Macrow 187pts Mr Hollings 187pts Mrs Tander 190pts (would be nice if the website updated.... but hey its only the grand final ) Going into the final race of the day. .. its Winner takes all!! Or perhaps more accurately, whoever is in front out of these 3 wins the gold star! |

The heading of all results on the Natsoft Page is
SHANNONS NATIONALS 2007 - ROUND 9 ORAN PARK RACEWAY SOUTH AND GRAND PRIX so I'll think you'll find the Trucks are on the South Circuit. |

Trying to work out the points. I think its 20 for 1st, 15 for 2nd, 12 for 3rd.
Which means Macrow should finish a point ahead of Tander in the championship. If there is a point on offer for Fastest Lap, Macrow wins by two. |
