My Daughter has just sent me a photo of where they are on a holiday . Lake Como. All this talk of Spain and 28 degrees sure does sound attractive .,This while I am on my second cup of tea looking out at a very wet Brands Hatch paddock . Portugal in a couple of weeks so not all doom and gloom .

The clouds have just rolled away up here but there was rain first thing and much of yesterday afternoon.

Quite cold as well - 9C - and more rain coming for around midday according to my weather app.

British GT and F3 meeting at Donington so I would guess they may get a further mix of wet and dry as they perform during the day.

Meanwhile I see a "Brown" benefit in Escort qualifying at Brands. What's that all about?

Gerard C should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
It could be Sean Brown, a very fast guy, young and nice person. He entered several times in HTC by PA, good cars too.

Just as I predicted. I’ll just comment that the period spec ex Broadspeed car raced regularly in PA managed 5th and 7th in the 2 races......

Browns 1, 2 and 3 in qualifying.

Is that a first (time) on a grid with open entries?

Seems JDC is under new ownership- http://www.eadt.co.uk/business/jobs-...kept-1-5701669

I wonder how much Jean Marc Paid for the business? BTW ‘Woodham Mortimer’ is the name of a nearby village. Slight lack of imagination there?

Yes, when I tried to research that company last week I came up with a blank. Seems the real owners are HPS, an investment company. Better be sure to maintain the profit levels in a business where nothing is particularly certain.

Have a look to Charme Capital private equity fund, it will tell you more.

Some dates for the calendar mods:

VSCC 2019 provisional 2019 dates. I see they're going to Brands Hatch next year instead of Mallory Pk (although the photo used was taken at Cadwell!):

Im missing Spain already..... left on Sunday, arrived back in a chilly damp Melbourne this morning after 6 weeks of 30C sun, shorts and t shirts, beach bars and general perfect laid back Spanish lifestyle spending time at my Mothers place.

Merc officially announced the ‘A35’ AMG version of their new A class last week. Luckily there is someone old enough at Autocar to know what an A35 really is/was, and included a pic of the Austin version!
