Hmmm, anyone know if there's any truth to this? It's from an F1 site, but their F1 rumours are invariably true so I'm almost tempted to believe it...

Well, Dario has been known to be having second thoughts about driving in the IRL, but frankly, he can clear off and take his money. He thought it'd make him happy, it hasn't. I doubt he could've lapped as fast as Bourdais in the tests anyway.

This is an old rumour and the last time it came up, Dario said the only reason he was hanging about at NH was to say goodbye to his friends. He has been very vocal in his denunciation of CWS since he left, and frankly I don't think we need his attitude. Clearly if he came back it would be for the money and only til some offered him more.

Perhaps he's discovering he's joined Team Potemkin.

That is so far off base its not even funny. Dont be surprised if Dario runs the 12hours of Sebring in a good car though

Well, there are 77 TBA drivers in the initial entry for Sebring. That would make 76.

Good cars - I'm assuming you mean protos. So that leaves Joest Audi, Audi UK, Bentley (although it's been rumoured to be Herbert/Blundell/Brabham), and Champion. Oh, and RML's MG-EX257 semifactory car.

Champion are rumoured to have Lehto and Johansson lined up.

Isn't it stretching things to the point of snapping, to describe Mikey as "a former McLaren driver"? You might as well describe Moreno as "A former Benetton driver"!

Michael drove for Mclaren longer than Moreno was at Benetton, plus Mclaren was Michael's only team. So he's definately a former mclaren driver.

No sponsor listed for either NHR car. I heard rumors that Lilly was gone, but it seems unlikely they'd have left the logos on Bourdais' car at Laguna Seca had that been the case.

I'll believe it when I see it. The Pacific Care rumor is bogus.

The reduced funding from Lilly sounds right - they didn't do any TV buys.

Franchitti can go to hell and stay in the IRL. He sold his soul when he made that decision. He should have to live with it.
