Minardi: No engine, no drivers... but we do have a chassis!
Minardi building new chassis
December 13: Minardi are reportedly hard at work on their 2001 chassis, as they continue to hope for a Supertec engine deal. Reports have surfaced that the struggling Italian team are already designing their 2001 chassis, as they hope to confirm the proposed engine deal. Minardi enlisted the help of Bernie Ecclestone in finding an engine supply for next season, and the team are desperate to keep their place on the grid. In other areas, Minardi appear no closer to announcing any drivers for the new season, although Gaston Mazzacane has pledged his support to the Italian team, seemingly reluctant to try and secure a testing deal elsewhere. ---- Well, at least it's not bad news! They could do a lot worse than Marzipan and Alonso driving for them next season, and I just know Supertecs will be theirs. |

DNQ, forgive my sarcasm. I just cannot resist giving Minardifan the shiv.
To be honest, I will lament the passing of the team from Faenza-I am not optimistic about the prognosis. |

Christ, I worry. Every year I always am left wondering whether they'll even MAKE Adelade. A chassi has to be designed around the engine as it's central feature. If they STILL don't know what (if any) engines they're gonna have, then lord help them. FORZA FAENZA
