I hope Chevy gets their marketing folks ready. Good potential for overall and GTLM wins this week!
Also I feel perhaps later this year that some team will replace the traditional Corvette rear tail lights on their DP car with the C7 look. |

Of course, I write software, so I can understand. I've worked years coding something and had it working perfectly and then at the last minute someone asks, "What if we try this..." |

I think I heard the test car is the one making the auto show circuit right now... Pretty sure I heard that during coverage of the NAIAS.

Speaking of test cars, how about some history from the C5-R to C6.R transition era:
C6.R Show Car at ALMS Mid-Ohio 2005-05-21 Above - I saw and shot this car in the Chevy display at Mid-Ohio. I was able to verify it to be what had been called, originally, the C5R-012 chassis. It was the last C5-R chassis but was never raced as a C5-R. It was fitted with C6.R bodywork and hardware and used as the initial C6.R test car. Above - A rare shot indeed, I am glad the Chevrolet marketing person in the Mid-Ohio display was kind enough to open the door for me. NOTE however, the major shock - the Chassis Number plate reads C6R-012, not C5R-012!! (The factory race cars at this point were C6R-001 and C6R-002.) Above - For you collectors, has anyone scored one of these? Has anyone ever seen one (not on a car)? The race cars got a "C6R" decal, the Mid-Ohio show car got the heavy metal "C6R" emblem. Sure would like to hang one of those on my 'Corvette Room' wall.... |

I got a bit of a laugh reading the free Racer special on the C7.R when Doug Fehan says the design of the Corvette frame allowed them to effectively build a tube frame race car. And we're complaining about DPs being old tech!
David, if I ever got myself one of the C6.Rs I'd want that metal badge, looks badass. |

Sink hole underneath the National Corvette Museum.
Just heard this on the Radio...That sucks. Looks like historic race cars were spared. http://corvettemuseum.blogspot.com/2...-corvette.html |

Why did it have to be under the Corvette museum of all places...
Why not under Justin Biebers house? |
