Thompson in the points too, so looks like he's starting to gel with the CC.

I swear to god, if BMR win this championship now, it'll be a joke.

Great race though, Cook was so unlucky the SC came out when it did, otherwise he might have had Sutton. Shoutout to Ant Whorton-Eales, that was a superb drive.

Incidents in the last 2 laps have generally been dealt with by leaving the car there. The SC was called extremely quickly, compared with the previous off where they allowed a significant amount of time to self recover the car.

Not really that fussed, but it was an oddly quick reaction. They clearly wanted the 2 lap sprint to the finish.

Previous incidents, the cars drove away themselves. It was very obvious that Collard wasn't going to do the same.

It was going to be deployed if JP hadn't managed to get his car away; he did although I wonder if dragging it all the way back to the pits added to the damage significantly?

If JPs car had been stranded and then hit by Collard or Jelley we would have had potentially serious injuries - or as turned out if AN Other had hit Collards stricken car. Safety car was the right call in my opinion.

Any word from JP or BMR on that accident? Looked like a driver error to me but haven't seen any angles - only the in car footage.

If Sutton does win it'll be a combination of his superb talent and all the good work done in 2016 by Turks, JP and the engineers at BMR. They had sussed the car by Oulton that year so know how to get it to work on the tracks we run from Oulton onwards (or most of them from Oulton onwards). They've still not cracked Donny or Thruxton, and I do wonder if CT had stayed for 2017 if he would have made the difference...
