Stars--what do they mean?
I'm a newbie to this board & noticed the 1 thru 4 stars besides members names.How many posts do U have to make to acquire the 2nd,3rd & 4th stars?Thanks 4 any help on this!

The stars are there to allow you to quickly and easily work out what connection the user has to the forum.
1 star + 'Rookie' = less than 20 posts 2 stars + 'Racer' = between 20 and 500 posts 3 stars + 'Veteran' = Over 500 posts 4 stars + 'Race Official' = Forum Moderator 5 stars + 'Clerk of the Course' = Administrator x stars + 'Team Partner' = Member of Forum Affliates Scheme |

So far you've averaged 10 posts per day, so if you keep that rate up it will only take you about 50 days to reach 500 posts, and thus 3 Star Veteran status.
But if I had set up the requirements for each "promotion", I would have made Racer require 100 posts, and Veteran require 1000. |

Actually, I thought Bud was far worse than Megan. While she could be a pain, at least she knew her way around racing and often contributed useful information. Bud was just an arrogant little turd always trolling for trouble who never did anything besides brag about himself and insult everyone.

Well, I hope for your sake that you don't either. If you do, you'll find out how fast we put our Race Official uniforms on. Just as quickly as we welcome all newcomers to the forum, we will show Trolls the door. We don't like to do that, but when it becomes necessary, we do what we gotta do to ensure this forum is an enjoyable place for everyone.
And just so you know, I didn't say that about making 500 posts because you bugged me. That was just a statement on how long it would take to get to 500 posts if you maintained the rate you were posting. And that the number it takes to get a specific title is too low in my opinion. I think setting them higher makes it more interesting. If you were bugging me, I would be saying something entirely different. But the way you said that, about it working and you were already bugging me, sounded as if that was your intention. And I will have to say if that was the case, I would advise against intentionally trying to bug people, specially Race Officials and\or Clerks of the Course (Forum Moderators and\or Administrators), because as it states in the Forum Rules, we take a dim view of Trolls around here. |
