yes puke.. #006 has run. it's reportedly broken every TLX lap record at every circuit in NZ. it's even broken lap records at circuits it's never been too. some would argue the lap records don't count.. as #006 is a lot lighter than the other TLXs.. as it's not yet completed lol

Has work stopped on the Nissan, just that somebody I was chatting to said so?
And any updates on a TLX/TL Grid for Pukekohe, with no new cars its only looking like 2/3 TLX Chassis max. |

With the Varney's running in the ex Van Giz burgen V8ST car at the next 3 Enduro rounds of the NZV8 Supertourers Championship, thats one less TLX car that wont be running, unless somebody buy's it meantime. |

Didn't know about Varney going to NZST. Good on them and I wish them well.
Wonder if they got the nudge because of the BS that MSNZ keeps throwing up? Not looking good for the MSNZ approved v8 category is it. So why is Nick Ross still putting resources in to the altima when the tlx thing is clearly dead? Sounds like he's holding on to the last threads of a series that he thought would improve. Sad to see people act that desperately to be honest. |

Sorry to disappoint you but no, its the acronym for their new name New Zealand V8Supertourers. The TLX guys were all invited to join together by V8ST but were not prepared to pay the cost of joining the Series, and I have to say that personally have some sympathy for their position. On the other hand, V8ST CEO, Ray Noonan, argument is why should they get a cheaper deal than the V8ST Teams have had to pay? |

20b, you are indeed correct, my bad, but just goes to prove how far removed from the day to day affairs of the category I am. These days I have my hands and head full of the Ssangyong racing Series category which I am picking will surprise many people this season, not because of the lap times and their lack of speed but more because just how many Actyon Sport Utes their will be on the grid, and the record number of female drivers [4] at Taupo and 5 [possibly 6] at the second round. |

FYI. Steve Varney is having his chassis bought up to the same specifications as the later TLX cars, and the engine rebuilt by Tracksport, before advertising the car for sale. |
