Its a road car...why would you be wearing full racewear in a road car??
I'd say the most he was wearing was a helmet which would be consistent with where he got burnt |

By that logic - it's a road car, why wear a helmet?

One thing nobodies noticed here and that's the colour of the car....
ORANGE Bad omen or what ? One other observation. All three incidents, Hamsters, Jason's and Tom's Rascal smash have all happened after the main filming has finished and it's that last little fling that bites... Last edited by Shawn; 15 Oct 2007 at 21:07. |

Even 5th Gear admitted that it wasn't 'really' a road car, just a fancy - expensive - track-day car that was legalized, although I couldn't actually see any number plates on it So on that basis, JP should have really taken more precautions - I bet he does next time (Anyone got one of those old silvered leather firesuits from the '80's?) |

and where was the emergency cover? five should be strung up for that, at least with Toms crash they had ambulance crew on standby, there was nothing at Bruntingthorpe and Plato had to be taken by civilian car, via sat nav, to the nearest hospital.
Even a village fete needs st john's cover as a minimum, after what happened to Hamster you'd have thought TV bods would have learned a thing or two... |

I think Jason's been pretty brave...but I'd like to mention something else, his whole season.
When I first saw Plato racing it was a couple years back and in no time I learned to hate him cause he was basically a raging bull, sort of a BTCC Christian Abt and especially kicking Yvan Muller out of the track (excuse me I'm french ) and somehow it was his signature, his identity, a very rough driver! But look at this season, he rarely got involved in incidents and created very few, he even let his team mate Darren Turner win a race on the finish line and loses the title for 3 ridiculous but so important points... So what's going on? Has Jason Plato got wise over the years and wants to drive DTM style? What do you guys think? |
