Aysedasi, any way to keep this at the top for a couple of days until everyone sees the link?

Re: 917/20 Pink Pig

As for the "2002 pig": seen it weeks ago, Doc I may even have posted the link in a forum near you (or at least have intended to, not sure). Is this going to turn into a trend now, "what if" modelling? Fastdetails.com also have this other feature on a model of the stillborn (well it actually ran so it wasn't still but...you know what I mean) '98 Porsche LMP in Champion livery.
If anyone wants to continue to work in this style, may I suggest the following sujets:

fictious sponsors - Tide GT40, Durex 908, NASA Merc CLR (...cold...), Mattel "Barbie" Panoz; in fact, pick any brand name ("I can't believe it's not artificial butter" or whatever) and pretend they were spending money on racing

zany madcap stuff - such as a "Herbie" Volkswagen GTP, #53 (I'd like that), Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz LMP (the Flying Fin)

a team of "Professionals" CI5 turbo Capris (#37 for Bodie, #45 for Doyle) - there goes the British taxpayer's money

and an R8 in Starfleet trim (NCC 2002 "Ferdinand").

Looks a little like a cross-eyed pit bull, doesn't it.

Actually, they could have painted it green and called it "the rabid toad" or something. I think it was just going to be ugly no matter what they painted it like. Funny how they went from the beautiful but uneffective 89 cars to the butt-ugly but efficient 917/20. They couldn't look more different, but they had the same origins.

Well, I suppose it's all a question of taste, but I am honest enough to admit that I like it - a lot! Always have. As a racing car, there is something "brutal" about it, even more so than the "ordinary" 917s. If we often talk about cars as female rather than male, this one is definitely very butch!

(As for keeping the link at the top, Doc, I'm not sure. I won't interfere with it and if people keep posting to it, word should soon get around to those who need to know).
