Hmmm...never quite understood it. Put a 15 year old in a Nova SRi in the ASDA car park and they'll drive like a complete lunatic.
Put the same kid in a purpose-build high(ish) performance racecar on a circuit and they drive like a fart in a collander. Some things in life puzzle me... |

I don't know whether it's because we are now a good way through the season, but the racing is tight and they seem to be getting more and more competitive. At Oulton this weekend, we had loads of argy-bargy and each race had lots of racing all the way down the field. Great stuff! It was also good to see Anna Waleska getting better. Although she is much slower than the rest of the field she is improving noticably with each race. The highlights were the Rose/Wilson/Hoy battle where Phil Rose ended up *very* backwards and ending up in around 6th place, only to fight back to second; and then there was poor little Jonathan Kennard at the end who went agricultural, tried to get off the green stuff by flooring it only to realise that spinning wheels + soft ground = beached car. He then flung his door open (which promptly sprung right back in his face), leapt out of the car and then proceeded to kick it in true John Cleese style. Then of course we had the obligatory throwing of gloves ceremony. Poor lamb! And Zip Formula! Wow! Mucho-smasho!! Out of the front 4 cars, 2 had front wings smashed up, and a third had a bust rear-wing. And again, the racing was great! I think there'll be a future for Zip. In all a great day! |

Glad you enjoyed it Paul. Have seen the T-Cars before, and they can provide really close racing! However, it's pot-luck - you might get one really great race and then a real procession.
