Lydden 19th August

The meeting at Lydden on August 19th, which was to feature Intermarque (full grid of 24 cars), pick ups and trucks, has been cancelled. Not sure who exactly pulled the plug, but it is not good.

Shame this, I was planning to head along.

Hopefully the October meeting still goes ahead. I'm guessing it was a Lydden decision, as cant see why BARC would do it with seemingly big grids!

According to a post on the BARC South East Facebook page the decision came from BARC HQ and not from BARC SE or Lydden.

Does not bode well, am thinking Lydden might be for the chop in the not too distant future

Perhaps we should not be surprised, neither Lydden or Rockingham are able to compete with the considerably better equipped MSV tracks.

Lydden are pointing the finger at the Championship organizers:

Yet the series can run at plenty of other tracks.

I dont think Lydden is being run properly or well at the moment and I long for the Dorans to let it go.

Lydden was looking quite good yesterday for the Rallycross - there's been a lick of paint over pretty much everything, the toilet blocks have been refitted (they're by no means luxurious still but they were better - you didn't come out of them feeling that you'd improved them by ****ing in there) and there were what I assume were new 'permanent' catering facilities made from shipping containers (could have been brought in just for the event I guess).

The cancelled truck meeting is an odd one - it may well not be Lydden at fault, there have been some odd goings on at BARC recently too.

October 6th meeting at Lydden is going ahead as planned. Intermarque, Tin Tops, modified saloons and Ford saloons.
