Kyle Busch - How
So Kyle Busch has promised so much in the past, and has finally delivered. Why now?
is it that the 5 Car is a poisoned chalice? Can Hendrick deal with any more than 3 drivers? Is Joe Gibbs that good a man motivator? is the COT ideal for Busch's driving style. |

I don't know what he and the Gibbs team are doing, but I'm getting pretty sick of it.

look at what the JGR NW #20 car has done all year; they are on the fish right now and tearing it up. they have the equipment, the employees, the money and a good driver to boot and that is a hard combination to beat when everything is going your way.
and like Fish_Flake, i have about had enough too. |

I remember when "Flash Gordon" was dominating just about every race. I was a big fan of the number 3 (for some reason!), and was most upset to see this Dupont upstart running away with everything - so it seemed.
The wild thing is the man/car/crewchief combination to beat right now. It's that they have everything working well together. At Chicagoland, it was very nearly a win for the 48 car, had Jimmy's crew got a handle on the car's behaviour sooner, I'm sure he would have won it. |

Yep, he is brilliant, agressive drivers, and it's nice to see when it pays off. He's great to watch just by himself too, as he likes the car really loose, he can get it really sideways and still hang onto it. Last edited by StuiE; 15 Jul 2008 at 11:20. |

He's got a lot of talent and he's finally ironed out his mistakes (well most of them ).
O/T: re. the Hendrick #5, Mears had had three different cars and three different crew chiefs; 2006 Ganassi #42, 2007 Hendrick #25, 2008 Hendrick #5. Put him in the same team with the same crew chief for more than one season and we'll see what he can do. Its like Jenson Button in F1, he went from Williams, to Benetton, which became Renault, then he went to BAR, which had management coming and going and then became Honda. If he had some consistent team management (and a decent race car i.e. a McLaren) he'd be up there with the best of them. |
