At 2 or 3am.

Not even the Eastern Creek round was at a sensible hour.
A major reason that A1GP hasn't exactly taken off here in Australia.

BTW, do all countries get a hilights pagckage, or do some get the full race?

A1GP is shown in Australia on both free-to-air and pay TV.

Some of the feature races are live on pay-tv but all of the sprint races and some features races are shown on delay.

China:

Qualifying and Feature race shown live with the Sprint race bundled into the feature race package, on satellite TV (pay - regional Sports channel in English). Star Sports won broadcaster award at the A1GP awards night.

Feature race highlights shown a day later on free to air, while everyone with a job is at work (local chinese stations).

Netherlands, Free to air with advertising. Generally live, but sometimes a delay for a few hours.

Great Britain, every qualifying session and feature race live on pay TV, with sprint race shown before the feature. There are highlights on free TV but they're at 4am or something stupid like that.

The Sky coverage (pay TV) is excellent, mind you, and I'm glad I can see it.

This thread is useful in helping me to decide where to live next year! (Being able to watch A1GP is of course one of the top priorities).

Actually A1GP official website has a page with a very good comprehensive list of what TV stations have coverage in each country and when.

If you want to watch A1GP, and don't mind splashing out on pay TV, the UK coverage is excellent. You get qualifying live, with build-up before it and reaction after it. Then, on the Sunday, you get about half an hour's worth of build up, then the sprint race almost in it's entirety (they edit out safety car periods sometimes). Then, you get the full 70 minute feature race LIVE with NO ADVERTS, followed by lots of reaction and interviews and stuff afterwards.

I wish it was on free TV so more people could see it.

Generally delayed coverage of sprint then back it up straight after with live feature race

FWIIW some of you posting that have not got your country of origin specified need to tell us where your from ie: jackschmidt, where is that Jack??



PS Kiwi3, you can come back home, it's free to air. Sad new is most of them (just like F1) are in the middle of the night. On the positive side of that at least the kids arn't running around ya legs while your trying to watch the race

Live broadcasts of the Feature race through Speed Channel Latin, sprint races showed before the feature races, of course cable TV

tape delayed races on network TV though Televisa...wich BIG TIME!!

Live qual (most of the time) then recorded sprint race and full live transmission of Feature Race on Free to Air television.

Some good news for French fans - A1 will be on free-to-air channel NT1, with some (presumably European races?) shown live.
