Strange he does look like Tony Law's cousin, TLE the best steel exhaust manifolds on the planet.
C'est une coutume touchante quoique assez étrange to keep wife's former boy friend around, just in case you dont find your blue pills. But if he was her best, that's OK. In France, when the "break the glass in case of" mode is turned on, we like to keep an eye on a bride's sister. Only if she's young and pretty, we are gentlemen ya no. Always ready to serve and protect. And to serve well! Bob, one four you: who took the pic and what are they smoking? |

More worrying is that Gordon appears to be hugging the three bottles of wine . 🙄

Ana slightly more serious mode, we are experiencing some issues with steel particular parts, springs and brake discs. As to the last ones can you recommend a brand, some coming already twisted out of the box… For an E-Type for instance.

Could they "possibly" be of Chinese Manufacture ? there are a lot of cheap inferior parts out there that are being "rebranded" in fake manufacturers boxes and sold at inflated prices. It's been happening with just about everything else including official approved seat belts and racing overalls unfortunately.

Agree with you both Gordon and Terence the guy making the leaf springs says he's rather buy old ones because its impossible to source proper steel. For the Capri I found Maxtorq are good value for money and dont warp easily.

Ouch, that should be a warning that safety devices like that should be checked beforehand to make sure they are not faulty

They are checked before hand. We have to be scrutineered at every race. Currently we self scrutineer but that just means we check them and confirm before turning up at the race. However I don't know anyone who would buy a harness for 40 euros when the cheapest on the market is around £150.00 and expect it to be genuine.

Agreed! But in now way I know a safe method to test a harness myself prior to mounting. Just rely on a known and reknowed brand, Schröth in my case, and check the presence of the official label/hologram. After that…

A bloke in a local garage asked me if I had a harness to use in a track day car and I said I have one of the best genuine ones but out of date by a month and you can have it for 20 quid, he said I can buy a new one for under 50 quid off the internet ! I said well it will be crap compared to one for that price but he went ahead |

Which brings me to another subject. I have two out of date helmets. Do I stick em on ebay with the usual caveats or do I bin them?
