When the Jaguar F1 team was getting going I remember along with the British Ferrari stories one about how the green paint was heavier! But like the team it was just talk.

Aston uses Mettalic paint with Aluminiium particles that are lighter

Could it be that as they basically obtained last year's car essentially ready made and didn't develop it they lack the understanding to progress its development effectively. They are still learning to understand the fundamentals.

Anyway it’s a no brainer to keep Vettel. He’s shown this season he still has enough in him and his experience is invaluable, even if he still makes the odd silly mistake

I was thinking during Monza just what a joy it is to still be watching Hamilton, Vettel and Alonso competing. They now feel like the old guard (well, the latter two especially, because we're used to seeing Hamilton at the top) and it's a privilege to watch them.
