Mike talking about socializing, did you see the 26R #16 entry shows only one driver? You can test your public relation skills with the Grantura owner too! 41 entries in HTC including a wonderful HemiCuda and an XJS.

Yes, I saw that. The car has to survive Tour Auto first, though......
The Grantura was entered for the last round but didn’t show, so we’ll see if it turns up at Spa. Agree about the Touring Car entry, but still (in my opinion) too many Escorts and RS2600 Capris! |

Will be interesting to see Minshaw in the XJR9.First race for him and the car if it turns up. I think its the LM version of the 9.
24 cars for the Legends grid is great. |

Has always been a finisher so far. I hope for your team it won't be a great shape. Basically its a very good one.
Agreed re the HTC grid and because its supposed to be a 24 H de Spa Francorchamps revival to few Grp1 or Grp1,5 imo. We have a lot of good arguments and some experience too but probably we dont speak the right language… Difficult to understand why the 'Stangs are accepted as TC1s because they are at least Grp2 appendix J. Certaines voies sont impénétrables, n'est ce pas? |

I’m sure the Elan will be healthy after Tour Auto. It is, after all, very professionally prepared!
I’m not sure the Pre ‘66 Mustangs really fit in, but from memory it has been the case since the series began. The first race in 2013 also included our Zef in his Cortina GT amongst other earlier cars! I still enjoy looking at photos of the 24hr race in the ‘glory days’. I would have loved to be able to drive in that race! After looking at mid 70s pics, I went to town in 2013 when fitting period lighting to Canary for the event.... |

Sure they are worth a fortune now! Back in the day some cars had Biodes as standard fitment I remember some 504 series had ones, low and main beam from one single bulb plus another bulb in a separate reflector. High efficiency.

Gerard,
Its this one chassis number 3. Originally the French March importers car, quite a famous car in France I believe, last French owner Flavien Marcais arrived in UK in 2004, I'm the 6th owner from new! Richard Piper ran it in CER in 2016, I did HSCC pre-80's last year, CER this year and hopefully CER and Classic Le Mans next year. Best regards Kevin |

Kevin, thanks for info and pic! What a jewell with a great history I recall it was raced at Magny-Cours, Vdev series. One of my favorite, no doubt, together with the TOJ. Entered moons ago in our national championship we had a Cheetah, pedaled by a really nice person, Daniel Brillat. I seem to recall he used to run a Honda cars shop near Geneva and raced a 2002 Bimmer at Le Mans. I like the GRD's too and we still have a Cesca-Grac racing those days. But your March looks like no other for sure. I know you'll have fun there, take care when enjoying.

Gerard,
Yes its certainly an upgrade from my Royale RP17 and is wonderful to drive. After Spa I'll be at Dijon in June, which is a circuit I love, be great to meet you if you are there. Best regards Kevin |

RP17, Kevin? Assuming its a HFF agree upon the fact that its quite a change! We have few Royale's here, Van Diemens are numerous. One of my old bloke drives a Jomo JMR7 which looks like… well, a Jomo!
'f course, I'd love to meet you at Dijon, anywhere else would be great too, and have a "visite guidée" of your wonder! Always found the shape of the cockpit fascinating. Probably not really easy to spot the apex though… |

Gerard,
No the RP17 was a 1973 sports racer, only 1 ran in period so we upgraded an RP6 chassis and obtained an HTP with a Cosworth BDG, actually came third overall in Dijon a few years ago in a 1 hour race in the wet on slicks!! |

There are now entry lists on the PA website, but already out of date. Competitors have just received V3.......

More service too! If you suspect your engine builder to arrange your power sheets, you can have your car tested on a rolling road, € 500 for 40'. Video service too.

Knowing he has always been hard on his cars can't see how he could win an endurance championship. Recently he found a better preparer and improved his driving quite a lot, this is for sure. But a 26R pushed at the limit is not bullet proof. I vote SLR as was the case before! Looking forward what will happen at GPAO Dijon, with two of those pushing hard…
