Interesting there's no Eastern Creek round. Am wondering if V8s reckon there's a hope of saving Homebush.

Look at that, only one round in the middle of winter in Victoria, and it's Winton..... but I must say that Phillip Island in November is much better than May. Please keep it in November all the time!!

Not only is the Gold Coast a proven car wrecker I am betting there are not going to be many of the teams with a spare chassis available for substitution. That is if they could build it in a couple of days while the aircraft sits on the ground and waits. |

Agree - from GC to Abu Dhabi back-to-back is optimistic. I wonder if they'll have mechanics in the cargo hold rebuilding cars.
Even tougher on the Victorian teams - how many spares are they going to have haul up. |

At least the test day will be open to the public.
The mob at Eastern Creek told the world on Facebook that the FPR CotF test would be open to the public. Except it wasnt, and they had to recant. Not that anyone was at the gate to stop people coming in |

Seems like it'd be good to be a 3 car team (HRT) as they'd have room for a spare car and parts, as opposed to FPR, who would have 4 single cars and their parts in their 2 BDoubles. |

it's good up here bar the crappy weather we had this year, it poured down after the Sunday race. but mostly pretty good viewing around the track, and the grid girls are hotter here lol.

Those FPR B-doubles probably have the capacity to hold three cars, though.
Plus, there's no reason why some of the single car teams can't rent out some space in their transporter for other teams. |

My point was, the capacity is basically one whole extra car for cars running 2 Bdoubles across 3 cars, oppossed to KR and FPR who will be using 2 Bdoulbes across 4 cars. |

I thought the transporters can only hold 2 cars each

I was only using FPR as an example, since FPR were mentioned. As far as I'm aware, most teams' B trailers will hold up to 3 cars. Another thing to factor in, is that some of the teams on occasion, will carry an extra car for their DVS activities. It will get to a point, much like speedway, where teams may carry a plumbed and wired but otherwise bare chassis buried up the front of the trailer, just in case. |

3 car teams have more capacity than teams who have 4 (FPR and HRT both run a dev series car, although i think i read that HRT aren't running one next year) |
