PWR Licence
Info from reliable sources have stated that Thompson has been in negotiation to purchase the PWR licence. . . . .
(But this is only rumours from the hand-basin in the QLD powder room) ??????????? |

Well the information I was given is that, Thompson was to have bought a licence and in exchange that would be his contribution towards the L1 drive.
Given his rumoured move to FRSR and the allegation that they havent bought a licence, would it be fitting that Thompson has purchased the licence and would in-turn allow FRSR to use it. ......... . . . . Wonder which way the tide will turn. . . . |

While the powder room suggests that perhaps a former team owner in the championship series was obligated to find a driver a slot, and a franchise "borrow" inclusive of franchise income and potentially the use of a really nice transporter was welded to the deal to avoid possible litigation...
Presuming any of this actually happened

Licence 20 to Tekno after sale.
Tekno licence for 97 SvG in NZ colours. PWR contracted to run Thompson in '08. Licence 50 to FRSR on loan to satisfy running Thompson. Denyer to run in DVS for FRSR. |

Hey what's this I hear about a phantom lease to Ford Rising Galahs?
Where the franchise is "sold" into a new company, and the owner of the company has a loan from say, the bloke that "sells" them the franchise? A paperwork shuffle. Is there a court case looming?? Something that might need assets moved around? |

Wow, imagine if you will, that drivers start to buy licences as they come up.
We end up with a field containing the 20 or so Tander's and Lowndes's and 12 dudes that could afford a licence. Teams then required to reach an agreement with a licence holder to run an operation?? If a driver buys a licence they need to field a car or cop the fine? Not sure where this is going but TEGA / AVESCO should shut it down before it begins, surely someone who buys a licence but is unable to personally field an entry is not suitable to by a licence, for christ sake, at least Tom gets cars on the grid, bloody goods ones at that! |
