Off topic but where is the 2011 BRXC Calendar! Even some Club championship calendars are starting to come out. Like you I'm trying to plan for what is shaping up to be quite a busy year. It was out by this time last year. Even one with with TBA's would be useful, at least we'd have some dates to work to.

29th of August is on the Lydden calendar as a BRXC round and the Belgians are at Lydden on 26th of March. Also ERC at Lydden over Easter

I guess the other rounds will be revealed once confirmed - I'd expect another at Lydden (unless the BRXC is going to run alongside the Belgians again in March). I suppose there is still a question mark over which circuits will be used as well - is Mallory viable (surface), Knockhill (low entries), Blyton, Pembrey, Mondello, Nutts Corner, Kirkistown - any others? I assume that Croft is still out of the picture?

We'll Blyton will be there as it's there main thing and I'd expect Pembrey as well. I hope they stick with Knockhill, the more events they run there the more local drivers will get involved as proved when there was multiple events at Croft, always decent entries from local drivers in the lower classes. I hope Croft is back but I'm not holding my breath, not good for the sport in my in opinion, although being local I'm bound to say that. Unless the issue regarding the buggies has been sorted I'm guessing Mondello is out, so that leaves Nutts Corner which is a great circuit. Is there a rallycross track at Kirkistown? Have Mallory sorted the rough out? Has anything more been heard of Tockwith? You never know there may be some new venues. Nearly forgot there's Belguim as well.

As far as i know the buggy situation should be sorted and that there is a date penciled in for mondello in july along with the irish grand prix in june . . . . I'm not sure what the story is with nutts corner but it would be great to get the double header weekend back between there and mondello Yes there is a track at kirkistown but there hasn't been a rallycross event there in years . . . . . I don't know the reason why but i believe it to be a great track . . . . .

Starting to piece together 2011 calender !

However i think we will have to wait until . The 2011 Calendar will be release ahead of the Autosport International show at the Birmingham NEC, 13-16 to get exact confirmed dates as per rallycrossuk.com web site suggests

MDA dates are

JanuaryTest Day/Fun – Blyton 13th March
1. Lydden Hill 27th March
2. Blyton 17th April
3. Blyton 11th June (Night )
4. TBC 15th May
5. Blyton 31st July
6. Lydden Hill 29th August
7. Knockhill 18th September
8. Mallory 16th October
9. TBC 6th Nov
10. MDA/BTRDA inc Irish Proposed

i guess Blyton night race and others from this list will form some of BRC calender Would love to see Croft back on calender !

Looking at that I'm guessing Croft is not happening. Would guess the other events would be Pembrey and Belguim. Is the GP going to be one of the TBA events? If not still hope for Croft. Thanks for giving us an idea of the calender, most helpful.

I would be surprised if Blyton is scheduled just a week before Lydden ERC. At a minimum either hurt the British entry for the ERC or mean a lot of work for crews like Doran, Binks, Hill, etc

That Blyton meeting could be purely BTRDA/MDA? That would leave all the possible British Div1 ERC entrants clear.

Just wondering if MotorsTV will do any live rounds. I remember them doing the opening round at Lydden Hill and after that the night round at Blyton. But then it just disappeared, hopefully they will return with live action in 2011 because its a great concept.

I guess the deciding factors will be budget and calendar (if there's no other live events being carried on a particular date then there's more chance of rallycross getting a look in). I would expect to get confirmation of any TV coverage when the calendar is released (presumably at the Autosport show?)

Did the Channel 4 coverage do the final four rounds of the 2010 season? I watched the first four rounds (which were shown over a couple of weekends), but never spotted the listing for the later rounds?

Did I miss them, or were they not shown?

I was thinking the same and was going to ask the same question on here in November - then the finals rounds were shown, 2nd Blyton and Pembrey.

On channel 4, 7th November at 7.00am and repeated on the 10th November at 3.00am

But I totally missed any of the August meetings, Mallory and Lydden, I had my freeview box on series record and it certainly didnt record any rallycross after the round in Belgium.

PM me if you want a copy of the final round on dvd as its still on the hard drive of my freeview box, but sorry cannot help with rounds 5 and 6.

Not strictly part of the British Rallycross calender, but I wonder when we will get any information on the Winter Rallycross Masters at Lydden? (12th February)

i doubt whether we will hear much about the Masters event until after the Autosport show, Lydden's offices reopened today so the show is probably their focus at the moment

Yeah, of course, I always forget how close to Christmas the Autosport show is - I suppose there is a chance that details of the Masters event may be revealed at the Show, though I guess the priority will be the BRxC rather than the one off events.
