It is true that there is always some smoke in MV anouncement, but I think it may be possible the Mustang and the Corvette in the TC.

I suppose that the problem of the Corvette mid-engine can be easily solved, due to the obligation to use the TC nose, these are much longer than the original Corvette and you can place the 6 in line there as it happens with the Camry of TC, that the nose is longer than the street model.

Rodrigo Pflucker will debut on TC2000 driving a FS motorsport Fiat Cronos, the one driven by Spataro on the last race, on this weekend race at the Oscar Cabalen circuit in Cordoba.

Also on TC2000, Puma Energy Honda Racing confirmed that they will race on 2023, with Silva continuing on his director role. No confirmation on the pilots, but they will try to maintain Ardusso.

On the TCPK side, 38 trucks will be taking part in the weekend's race with De Benedictis (Juan) coming back with his own engine on the Team Ranger's Ranger, Savino was due to drive another of the team's trucks but a hand injury prevented him from joining. While last race winner, also from the team, Ventricelli, is serving a 2 race suspension, for using non approved tyres on a previous race (used tyres from an older race, while only using ones from the immediately previous one was approved, apparently confused by the wording on an email)

Also coming back is Lambiris, who will be replacing Ianina Zanazzi, who is having personal issues, apparently with her sons, and is taking a leave from the series till they're solved.

Finally they were rumors of the second tier TCPK series planed, hinting the use of similar chassis but with the pushrod engines of the Mouras/Pista Mouras

On the TC side, Todino(Torino) won the Concordia race over Rossi (Toyota) and Canapino (Chevrolet) who extended his lead in the tournament.
The Maquin Parts team showed it's strength by putting his 4 "Toros" on the top 10 with Todino winning, Urcera, using the new chassis, ending 4th, Gini 5th and Agrelo 9th, the first 3 are also on the top 12 that will define the championship.


Rossi earned the first 2nd place of Toyota in the series, and the second podium for the brand, it was the first time since 1970 that a brand other than the big 4 got a 2nd place, that time was a Fiat 1500 Coupe.

Talking about Toyota, the Maquin Parts team received a Toyota chassis, they expect to complete the build around November, still no confirmation on driver.
The LCA racing team also expressed interest in building a Camry They have a Falcon (Lambiris, racing under the Lusqtoff racing banner, same as the TCPK Hilux), Chevrolet (Ebarlin) and Torino (Ferrante)

The TN on the other hand, had a meeting with the CDA, following the crash fest that was the last meeting for both C3 and C2 (Where Blasig ended injured) to try to improve the racing quality and the judging standards.

LCA, then Donto Racing, was traditionally a Chevy team, Campanera is a die hard fan, but when Rossi did the Ford switch and they made the Nova Racing Team to build the Falcon, when Rossi left TC, then came Mauricio Lambiris with Lusqtoff and took over, and had really good results, losing the championship by a race victory last year, but Campanera's pride and love for Chevy will never let LCA become an exclusive Ford team.


Campanera doesn't like the Ford chassis, aside from the brand, because it's really labor intensive to make it competitive*, but since building it, it is the best car of the team, with Rossi being a qualifying monster (and sucking in race, like Santero's last race) and with Lambiris, being a somewhat stable and reliable car, but without contundence, being almost always on the big points zone, but struggling to win.

LCA/Lusqtoff runs a Hilux on TCPK, with Zanazzi/Lambiris and Lusqtoff also sponsors Lambiris Corolla on TNC3, maybe the new Camry is coming that way (that said, Lambiris is going to debut a new Ford soon on TC so, who knows)

* That's the paddock stance on the Fords, not just Campanera's, with everyone saying things like "with Ford, everything needs to be 105%" and the like.
Of the 5 brands, it's the only one not designed from the ground up by Jakos, being derived from Diego Aventin's championship winner car, at insistence of the driver father, and then ACTC president, Oscar Aventin.

This weekend:

The Turismo Nacional visits La Pedrera in Villa Mercedes. Saturday night will feature the Desaf?*o de los Campeones, where six TN champions will enter a single-lap race.

The Top Race visits El Villicum, with two drivers per car. Notable duos include Diego Azar / Rubens Barrichello, Lucas Guerra/Agust?*n Canapino, and Ian Reutemann / Emiliano Spataro.

Canapino was finally excluded from the TC2000 race last weekend after the re-weight of the penalty weigts confirmed the variance of 380g, on the 60kg weights that the Cruze should be carrying.

With this, Llaver (Chevrolet-YPF) is the new solitary leader of the championship, while Canapino falls to 4th

Today had nice racing from both TRV6 and TN, in two of the best circuits, presentation wise, of the country. Every venue should follow these ones (and Termas) steps

Thats what Carburando, the former owners, said, so it should be true, but lately they're so full of ****(More than the usual, and that's a lot>, and actively trying to stir it to evereything racing in the country that i don't know anymore.

That said, if the medium pickups can race, the SUVs should too, and they will correct one of the overlaps between series, with the TNC3, leaving only (potentially) the TRVx and TC (depending on the new gen cars that could come to either one, as of now, there isn't overlap)

As a silhouette series it seems strange to me that Toprace position themselves as a touringcar series, surely GT or Transam style body shells would create separation from the other series and create a much stronger identity.

Top Race should not exist, its place should be to a formula, that's my position on the matter.

The thing is, it does, and when the TRV6 era started was to cover the segment not covered by the other series, while being the "extra series for the TC/TC2000 drivers to race on a free weekend" that was the original function before the V6, so the D segment was spot on. Them being silhouettes doesn't make them less "touring cars" since they drive and race like one. So does the TC or the Brazilian StockCar.

Coming back to the segment, it was ok at that moment, but with time, the TN growth (Impulsed itself by the Carburando/ACTC split that opened the doors for others) robbed the series of one of the main things that made the series, the drivers themselves.
Then, it ended in the middle of the power (literal and politic) struggle between Carburando/TC2000 and the TC, where they were severely limited in behalf of the then main Carburando bet, the Super TC2000.
ACTC won and not only that now is coming for the two things that "are" from the now Levy owned series, that is, current model cars and brands

About moving the series to another race type, it's hard with the argentine idiosyncrasy, we are "tourincarlandia" we make most of our cars and engines, and bringing things from overseas never ends well for anyone, TC2000's super era is a testament of that.
A move for, let's say, GT3 should be interesting for TR, but will never happen, TR was never a big priority for anyone, even now for the Levys, TC2000 is their main thing, even with the incoming v8s.

AFAIK nothing is defined yet.
The interest from a team on the Nivus and the prospect of bringing VW as a works team is the spearhead of the SUV/Crossover initiative, the fact that the C segment is dying but with most brands having a compact SUV or Crossover already on the market or coming soon, helps too.
What is known is that Berta, again, was consulted on a possible new engine formula, but not for 2023.
Then, there is a lot of noise, coming from Carburando mainly, to try to generate enthusiasm on a series that isn't on a particular good place now, both in itself and on the fiscalizing side of things with the constant attack on the ACA's CDA from some parts (not that isn't deserved, but as always on these things, there's more interest behind this aside some sporting regulations)
Also the usual war with the ACTC, that now is toying with the 21st century at last.

I stand corrected, the Levys kinda confirmed the SUVs for 2023, ignore the previous post doubts.
That said, the concept drawing... I'll say that I'll wait them to be built.
There were similar outrageous drawings for the previous and actual regs and for the TCPK, and then the reality hits.

I love B-segment cars. But they seem a bit too small for TC2000.


Maybe if they are sedans (Fiat Cronos, Fiat Virtus, Honda City). But those hatchbacks are too tiny to fill the eye.

The plan for 2024**, apparently, is a 400ish hp engine from Berta and a ruleset that encompasses the SUVs of B and C segment, and C and B* segment cars, with BoP for maintaining close racing.

*Why the media refers to the B segments as Hatchbacks instead of the proper segment name, as they do with the Cs is a mistery to me. Specially since there are a lot of B segment sedans and C segment Hatchs (hell, the Focus sold a lot more as a hatch even if never raced as one in the series)
