Red Bull New Motorhome...

It's big, it's stylish...and far nicer than what millions of poor people across china and africa have for home.

Take a look at the new Red Bull hospitality motorhome at f1.com.

Hmm..jus wondering...is it really neccesary to spend money on such luxuries? When considering that, despite Red Bull doing well in $ terms, it is still relatively tight compared to other Full Works teams. heading into the european leg, shouldn't they spend the money more wisely to invest in improvements to keep up with rivals?

I think Red Bull have a fair idea on how to earn money by marketing and looking good alone. How many products have they on the market? hhmmm........

on the records, i don't actually mind having such hospitality accessories if it meant that members frm different teams actually have a chance to pop by and mix with other teams... F1 should be a real friendly place, and sports about conflicts.

The cost of that motor home would be peanuts compared with Red Bull's total marketing budget and what does the accommodation levels of China and Africa have to do with Red Bull?

Ya!It's amazing!
First of all come the tyre company trucks, Michelin and Bridgestone, followed by the motorhomes belonging to the reigning world champions, Ferrari, all in old but very classy style. A little further down you come across the mighty McLaren glass palace that had everyone talking a few years ago, but this year, there is a new home on the block, one that makes you stop and gasp in astonishment at the amazing, unbelievable, original and pretty damn big Red Bull Racing motorhome!

Words are not enough to describe the structure that has everyone talking as, like most of the facilities in the paddock, this is not a motorhome at all, but a fantastic glass and steel building. In much the same way as the team's performance on the track has taken everyone by surprise, the team's base for European races has had the same effect with people bumping into one another as they walk along the paddock, staring in awe at the newest kid on the block, "The Red Bull Energy Station."

It is truly unique and takes a completely different "open house" approach, both in terms of its architecture and the welcome it provides to guests, media and anyone else who cares to stroll in.

"We have adopted a different philosophy with this unit, which takes some of its inspiration from the unit we used in MotoGP," explained Claudio Hatz, the interior designer on the project.

Working alongside Hatz was the Austrian design company, Kitz Exclusive.....

"The fact that the structure has to be assembled and dismantled before and after every European race and in some cases, repeated in time for the following weekend, was the biggest challenge. In terms of the concept, it meant we put functionality as the top priority, rather than design. For example, the glass floors are made with a special silicate to ensure the panels don't break in transit."

For its debut race here in Imola, 40 people spent 3 days erecting the facility, although these numbers should come down to 25 people and 2 days after this first outing. Transport is taken care of by 9 trucks and when it is up and running 2 electricians and 2 technicians are on duty, while catering involves 5 chefs and 5 people "front of house." On Saturdays, a guest chef will be on hand and this week, it's Roland Trettl, who can usually be found in the kitchens at Red Bull's Hangar-7 in Salzburg.

"The main difficulty with this project is that we had no experience to base it on," continued Hatz. "What was difficult? It's easier to tell you what wasn't difficult! Actually the hardest thing was perfecting the hydraulically operated roof, which shuts down the upper terrace in the event of rain."

It gives them a great place to entertain potential sponsors doesn't it? and as they have no sponsors at the minute I guess it's a neccessity, not a luxury

What a curious statement to make! On that basis F1 shouldn't exist at all, or any other sport or leisure passtime for that matter. All money should be given to third world countries and charities, or possibly African and Chinese house builders....

How is this a waste of money? Yet again they've made headlines and have people talking, it's a place to impress potential sponsors and having the biggest castle in the land is always going to be the most impressive.

People need to stop worrying about teams 'wasting' money on such things, they have legions of accountants and experts to do that for them.

They had partys last days .this is not a motorhome at all, but a fantastic glass and steel building.
in fact I'm a fan of red bull.Just because Liuzze was almost the last one in the race this afternoon besides Minardi and Jordan.
It seems its impossible to make bigger progress tomorrow.
