I'll bet your subconscious knew it was there all the time but your conscious had forgotten about the bag.

Probably about time you called the driver to tell him his car is ready .... and his race kit is out of date.

How's the toothache? I assume the dentist helped with post Xmas weight loss - in the wallet department at least.

I'm sure he has a home in the Wymondham/Attleborough area. Bill Bryson lives in a rectory somewhere, but methinks it's near Fearknum, in Stephen Fry country. Ah, the Old Country, how I miss it so....

Rusty only round the headlamps? You did well! Don't be sad though, a lot of youngsters including me cut our motorsport teeth in Angleboxes.

Happy days!

Isopon made a fortune out of my meagre wages as an engineering apprentice at Bae(nee Vickers Armstrong). I have to return to Brooklands every New Years Day to commiserate on what might have been! Good turn out of classics yesterday on the banking for those of us who just won't quit at any time of year!

Spend long enough there Cliff and we won't need to adjust belts during driver changes!

Enjoy.........

I left it back in the UK, but it is a left hooker and on foreign plates so anything is possible !
Talking of the rally, there was a long program on the terrestrial TV down here last night interviewing all the Spanish car/bike/truck participants,
I suppose the Beeb did the same !

SORRY ladies and gents i've been away since boxing day, reading all posts since has made me smile and giggle at your antics over there, for those of you who won't drive 2-3hours to a race meeting shows your not really into motor racing. TRY driving 13 hours one way to attend a race.

Happy New Year Sir! Some would shorten 'pigs fly' to 'piggy' but as we haven't met I'll keep it polite and PC

Guess distances to travel does depend on the size of your country as well as other things! I know in US they are used to covering internal mileages to race that would get me to the Algarve- which I happily do. The English Channel proves a psychological barrier to some, but we are all different in what we perceive to be a long distance!
