Just for the heck of it, here's a sample of the 1986-90, 2.0-mile course.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvr1ROghXRA

And the 1985, 2.1-mile course. (That corner out on the pier could make the Long Beach hairpin cringe.)

Ought to be an interesting race tomorrow with the new package on the cars, new drivers, and a jumbled grid. It should be fun.

PhoenixSuns should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Great to see new blood doing so well. The Brazilian with the German name, who drives for Super Tex, will surprise a few people this season.

Six seasons in German DTM wasn't too bad as we can see from his result.

Jordan King takes the lead on the restart and another FCY as Pigot stalls it on Turn 1.

The 4th FCY as Dixon clips Sato, going into Turn 1. Meanwhile Bourdais is now leading.

The race has settled down and it looks like it could turn out to be quite intriguing but unfortunately I have to stop watching and be somewhere else.

That was a bit more than just a 'clip' by Dixon on Sato.

It's almost like he read your post.

Rossi bottles it and takes out the leader. Bourdais wins.

The new car is a grand success, however.
