I'm looking forward to the race, would be awesome to talk about it but that's impossible here. Came back hoping things may have changed but no.

I think we are in for the best race yet

In related B12hr news, 2012 & 2013 Bathurst 12 Hour podium performers Clearwater Racing have announced their attack on 2017 WEC .

The line up of cars is insane - to think back to the first year of GT3 regs at the 12 Hour in 2011 and now is on a different planet. Joest is free now though - maybe we can get them over to run their Audis again

The only concern with such a huge entry is yellows - hopefully this can be kept to a minimum

Who will be driving with Lowndes and Whincup, theer was only two drivers names when the announcment was made, just a yet-to-named factory Ferrari GT driver accompanying the two Australian stars.

I dont have any recollection of an additional driver being named

is the assumption that it will be Toni Vilander

I saw that, but the pre release from Sept said yet to-be named

LOWNDES AND WHINCUP JOIN FORCES FOR BATHURST 12 HOUR

so it made me wonder if things had changed since that July release

ok. so when i looked harder Maranello Motorsport website did have something.

WHINCUP/LOWNDES TO SHARE FERRARI AT BATHURST

In other news

a new supplementary rules has come out and the invitational class will now have a benchmark minimum lap time of 2 minutes 9 seconds.

1 second quicker

doesnt mke much sense, they tested in Nov at the bathurst sprints
