Donington - May 6th and 7th

Anyone going - seems very quiet on here about this meeting. The programme (http://www.barc.net/competitors/race.../hq0710-02.php) looks decent but I've not see entry lists yet.

I shall be there both days sheltering from the forecast rain.

What was it like? Without an entry list I opted for the 750MC at Cadwell, but I'm interested to know how strong the grids were for next year.

Pretty good. Reserves for some races.

Cracking set of cars. Racing good in parts. A bit of drizzle spoiled two races on Monday.

Good paddock display and layout. Poor turnout of spectators. That seems to mirror the lack of interest on here. Odd.

Regards

Jim

Thanks for the info. I'll probably go next season if the event is held again. It was an odd decision to hold a historic meeting close to GP Live, that probably appeals to similar fans. Any GT40s?

Yes, I agree that the timing seemed odd but then GP Euro Series doubtless has other constraints to fit within.

Several GT40s as well as lots of other interesting cars. See http://www.msttiming.com/barc/2007/71821.pdf.

Regards

Jim
