Trevor should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I grew up on Phillip Island. My dad was the local police man. I can't remember how young I was. Len Lukey of Lukey Mufflers was the owner of the track. I reckon mid 60's

Jeez. You must be nearly 120 now.

FWIW, the first motor race I attended was Mount Druitt, mid '50s. I was mid-6s, turning 7 next birthday. Now, it's 70 next birthday.

OP some time in thee sixties. During practise Leo Geoghan hit the wall turning left through Suttons to go over the hill and while he was waiting to get the car back someone took a Polaroid of the car and gave it to him. He looked at it developing, looked at all of us and said "it's getting worse" as the image got better. That is the only thing I can remember of that race meeting.

Thunderdome 1988. The old man is not much of a motorsport fan, but as a 13yo. I managed to get him to take me to Calder 3 times for Nascar and once to the drag nationals.

Majority of the 90's was spent with a mates family following the Super Sedans around country Vic. Tickfords Rod Nash was around then and John Falkner would make the odd appearance.

funnily enough the Thunderdome in October 1988 was my second race meeting attendance, memorable for Mike Oliver in his bright orange Commodore dominating before crashing on the front stretch right in front of us.

Mid 1950's at home as a young kid- one trip up the mount and I have been hooked ever since.
I loved the early Easter meetings as bikes ran for the first couple of days with cars following on the Sunday and Monday. Only ever missed a couple of meetings over the years and can recall sitting near the piggery at the Gnoo Blas track at Orange also at a very young age.

I really don't remember any of that first meeting, but I remember about 90 or 91 when the Super Trucks ran. We were sitting right up the back on (clockwise) turn 4 when a truck slammed the wall and showered the crowd in concrete.
I'm pretty sure it was the last time trucks ran on the Thunderdome.

The HQ's were always a riot to watch.

This is a good topic; any chance the title can be changed on the thread?
