Wrong forum you might say but no ....Jean alesi has been offered a drive by his good friend Gehard Berger in the race of 1000 years at Adelaide on new years eve in the BMW..all that is needed is alain prosts approval and jean will drive the car...would be great to see Alesi in one of these sportscars and hopefully he will make the grade ..possibly even run full time next year as his F1 career is winding down..how do you think he would go in the ALMS

YES!!!!!

That's the sort of news I've been wanting to hear for years. Poor Jean, the current crop of F1 cars do him no favours. They simply don't respond to his flamboyant style.

If he does well in the sports cars, perhaps he'll have a new lease of life to his career, and a whole new following. He might become, not the modern era Chris Amon, but the new Henri Pescarolo, Bob Wollek or Jean-Pierre Jarier.

Who knows - he might be the clincher for a road trip to Le Mans 2001...

I totally agree TIMD and i hope he does drive because im hoping to get over to Adelaide for the race and to see him drive would be a bit more of an incentive to get over there and i doubt that it would happen but I would like to see Gehard back in a car for this race to ..

Alesi is a natural born sports car pilote and the thought of him in the ALMS or at Le Mans is enough to make me believe in reincarnation of careers! A couple of winning seasons in ALMS and we could all forget his wasted years in that Chocolate Prost.

Yes, God, a sports car drive for Alesi, please!
