Ingliston 1980s

I came across several films of racing at Ingliston which have recently been added to You Tube - well worth watching. Link to the July 83 meeting below - should anyone know names of drivers in road saloon race, cars 163 / 164 / 166 / 175 (commences at 8 minutes, 16) I would love to know.

What a video, brings back lots of memories.

Only went once, I took a Ford 2000 up there in the early 80's, a bloomin long way from Sussex but the people were really friendly and we had a great time,

Hi, the first race on the film is Special Saloons & GTs - it included Fleming in the rally Celica, number 164. It was the car he used when he won the Scottish rally championship in 1983.

Later in the film he appears in the road car race, number 163 - Ford Escort MK11.

Ingliston track maps

With some help from the aforementioned Ian Nicolson, we pulled together a full history of Ingliston Circuit, with track maps from each stage of its development, right up to the modern day and the courses for the revival events.

https://www.racingcircuits.info/euro...ingliston.html

We've got some onboard videos as well - Warren Hughes from 1991 in a Formula Vauxhall Lotus is a highlight (even if perhaps he is showcasing how not to race effectively around the track!
