In general it is Renault engine, thats the main focus. I don't understand, why they don't use the 1,8 engine of Megane RS itself (also used in new Alpine)?

Regarding turbo - i don't think, the Alfa turbo is the one from the original car, and of course no brand makes their own turbo (its mostly Garrett, IHI, KKK, etc.)

Honda and VAG use pretty much what's in the road car.

Yes - as they use a 2.0-engine, same as in road car. It will be easy to go to 350hp then. But normally turbocharger from cars like 1.8 Alfa Giulietta will be not having more than 300hp, even in race spec...

Could this finally be happening. Haven't news stories about Mazda TCR been around since TCR came about though?

I think, Lync&Co. is much easier to recognise. This MG could be also some other brand...

This MG is Chinese. Must be a copy-cat of something.

The Subarus have been pulled from TCR Australia, so looks like the end of the line for that project. Shame, as it was a great looking car.

Sadly.
But with TCR growing bigger and bigger in Japan, maybe Subaru will develop their own TCR car.

I saw some time ago Hyundai showed off a Veloster TCR, but i've not seen it race at all this year. What has happened to this car?

The Veloster is racing in North America. Except for a few outings in 24h Nurburgring and VLN, I don't think it has raced outside North America.

Built for the US market, where the i30 is not available as a road car. There's been two running in IMSA Challenge all year

Ah ok, thanks for clearing that up Nigel. I just thought it was strange they announced the car but then never appeared in the WTCR, but that kinda makes sense.
