Sure looks like an MC12 - most development of the Maserati MC12 began while Maserati was under the ownership of Ferrari - thus the Scuderia shield - it's initial name was the MCC meaning Maserati Corse Competizione - also looks like it may have taken part in one of the Gum Ball Rallies

I'm thinking that because of the 4wd behind it, that it was entered in the Gumball Rally, or it was snapped somwhere around it

I don't think anyone claimed it was a TR, just had parts from. It certainly isn't a MC12 either.

It appears to be some sort of homebuilt type special, with a Ferrari engine.

But not the original TR... the Koenig modified version. From the front wheels to the back, it´s almost identical. The Car entered in the 2000 Gumball Rally

I think it is something based on the Ferrari 512. There are some references around the net to a 1992 Ferrari 512 LM "Silver Arrow" that ran in the Gumball Rally, and I think that is what we are looking at here.

Some time ago I got some interest in the car, because of a friend that wanted to model it in very big 1/8 scale, using a Pocher Testarossa model as a base, I didn't find a lot, but remember that it was custom built in UK, and not a Koenig product...
