What model are Peugeot going to race? The 406 is going to be replaced soon so I cant see why they'd race that and I cant see a V8 307 happening! 407 Maybe?

Jamie P-E is a back marker
the 407 appears at some point in 2004 so they may start with the 406 then move to the newer car later in the the season

I read in autosport today that they're going to use the 406.

I wonder if Ford will get on board with their Mondeo? It's just screaming to be raced. Somehow, I like the styling of the Mondeo over the Focus, though both are very angular!

I think we need to get this manufacturer involvement in perspective.

Peugeot and Jaguar have merely said that they have no objection to replica bodies being built....... that is hardly manufacturer endorsement. SCV8 have been very clever in spinning this as manufacturer support - even painting the Jaguar silhouette in racing green. However, you will notice that no manufacturer has allowed their logo to be attached to the car.

The Jaguar has been given a shake down at Silverstone by Andy Rouse he compleated 40 problem free laps. Rouse, four-times BTCC champion, was delighted with the car's first run. "This has been even better than we expected ," said Rouse. "The car has performed superbly well and has exceeded our high expectations. The Jaguar X-Type was brilliant fun to drive ," he added. Although normally a man of few words, Rouse was elated when he climbed out of the car after his first 10-lap run, with a broad grin clearly showing his feelings.
