Nothing in orange I'm afraid.

Top and tail engine and gearbox in the FIA MGB after two seasons/20+ hrs without doing so....oils pressure's still good but it can't go on for ever and it hasn't let me down once.

Put top end back together on FISC Midget

Get the Grantura out and sorted for 2011. A list as long as your arm: new all steel bottom end (ouch!) and new ancillaries (double ouch!), new 3 sync SC gearbox, new diff with LSD, change this, change that eg seat and harness mountings now attached to steel not fibreglass and then all the long distance stuff if we are to run it in the Spa 6hrs. Oh and a new cylinder head if we can find a decent casting. Currently awaiting billet crank so we can commence engine build.

I'm sure there stuff to do to the E type too....

Oh and fit out the new garage....

And keep the family happy....

And don't spend too much....

Project 160 for the 360 is ongoing. Another 924, those who know me will be unsurprised to know it doesn't look anywhere as nice as Mikes though. We will be absolutely standard old boy, complete with electric windows and pop up lights!

clearly 924's are the new MGB... I know of at least one other being prepared for the 360 race. Out of interest what power/weight should you expect out of them?

Yes of course if its no more chokes than what was homologated and I believe twin sid draughts were homologated. Thats for Group 1 for the Post Historics it has to be the actual carbs that were homologated and because of the restriction under the bonnet I believe Ford used a pair of downdraughts but also the standard twin choke carb would be fine. This is why the 2002 now runs in Gp 1 and not PHTC's as someone who used to work on them pointed out it should have twin side draught 40 Solex carbs not stonking great 48DCOE's

Surely twin 48s means the beemer is using more chokes than twin solexes?

How is that Pete? Twin twin solex's makes 4 chokes when I went to school, thats why are said carbs not carb lol! The 2002 is homologated with a pair of twin side draught 40 Solex carbs or one twin choke down draught.

Low power, high weight....they're 125bhp and weigh in at around 1200kg in standard trim. Which mine is, so it's not going to be a flyer, should be a bit quicker than the Monty but not much. The 924 Championship cars find a bit more power and lose about 250kg.

I chose a 924 'cos it's big enough for my 6'2" frame in comfort, cheap as chips to buy, and because it has a roof it hasn't rusted away from the inside out, unlike most MGs! I was toying with an MGBGT but I've had enough of MGs for the moment.

So mine, Mike's, MGDavid's - who else?
