RIKB should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Rickard Rydell and Ford had their appeal against disqualification from round 12 at Silverstone heard by the MSA this week.

The sport’s governing body in the UK, rejected Ford's appeal against the Swede's exclusion from second place. He was excluded from the Silverstone results because of a rear-wing anomaly. The team said that was down to damage incurred earlier in the day, when Rydell's Mondeo was hit by Gabriele Tarquini's Honda and Anthony Reid's Ford.

The appeal hearing ruled that damage from a previous race could not be used as a defence, putting to rest fears that allowing such an explanation would set a dangerous precedent.

Rydell is now confirmed in third place in the championship, behind team mates Antony Reid and Series leader Alain Menu.

I miss TWR and Volvo more than ever. Prodrive should stick to rallying; no cheating to be accounted for there - Bernie and Max favour big names...

In response to your question, Crash Test, it probably bloody well was cheating. Ford this year has been an absolute disgrace. I cannot believe someone like Rickard, with his - and TWR's - clean record, I can't believe he's let it go on...
