When was the Last Time???

It dawned on me this morning, that for the first time in I can't even remeber how long Ford will win more round of the V8Supercar Championship than Holden.

So Congratulations to the Geoff Polites and everyone over at Ford and SBR (for taking the wins)

But can someone please remind me when the last time Ford exceeded Holden for round vitories was???

The Ford Sierra days I would have thought... the Commodore was making up the numbers in that era

I would have thought it was in the '93 era like they said on TV today, I thought those were fairly dominant days for the Blue Oval, however it's a bit before my time. Anybody else know??

I dont think the boys at DJR were all that happy, a consultant on board for the event watching the cars make two of the slowest fastest laps, and Wilson having lived at the bottom of the timesheets thru most of practice did not seem to be the direction they were looking for.

There is no doubt the team is working hard, but it was sad to watch this once great Ford powerhouse depress its driver so badly.

DJR- I can't remember where they qualified, but the BJR guys were floating around the back at the start, and Bowie seemed to come through. What happened to Johnson? I know Max's engine was running like a tractor, so he drove it around the circuit until it totally melted. Even if they buggered up qualifying, you'd think that they could jump on some sort of a race set up.

Anyone know what is the longest winning streak for Ford??? & what did Holden manage to get???

Lyris, it was 1995. GSR & DJR doing the damage... & 1993 with GSR was the last Ford team to get 6 round wins in a row...

Longest winning streak for Ford, 1988 and 1989 with the Ford Sierra.

They won all nine rounds of the 1988 ATCC, and the first six rounds of the 1989 ATCC, before George Fury in the Nissan broke through at the wet Rd7 at Winton.

So whats that, 15 in a row.....
