New Trainee Marshal
Hi All
Thought I would follow in the footsteps of all the other new trainee marshals and post an HELLO  Completed my first event this weekend at Donington - Classic Sports Cars Club. Can honestly say I had the time of my life, better than being a spectator. The experienced marshal I worked Assembly really helped put me at ease and gave me great guidance and knowledge. Now looking forward to working many other events and meeting lots of other marshals too. Caroline

Hi Caroline,
As the others have said, Welcome to the wonderful world of orange. I'm based mainly at Oulton Park but have in the past been to 'Donny'. Good to see another lady in the ranks, we've got quite a few here at Oulton. Howard.

Many thanks everyone. Still waiting for the Oranges to turn up. I now have the sweets on stand by for this weekend
I would like to be able to travel to other circuits and help out, but don't drive  . Maybe in the next year if any one from my area is traveling and has a spare seat.

I am working the Pit Lane on Sunday
. Trying track on Saturday - both for the 1st time. Watch out for the small Marshal rolling over tyre wall and getting stuck!!

This is my first season, completely hooked, had my first big 'un last weekend at the Oulton Park Gold Cup. Luckily no injuries, but it makes you realise that being first on scene and well trained by other experienced marshals can make such a difference should the sh*t hit the fan.
The adrenaline rush from a bit of action is made all the more satisfying knowing that everyone escaped unscathed. Andy R. |

Caroline, if any of the other midlanders are venturing to Cadwell either 7th / 8th September or 12th / 13th October and have room please do consider joining us at Cadwell Park as you will be made very welcome. There is also always next year.
