csirl should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I think the only looneys out there are F1 who think that signing up Danica Patrick will mean they'll win the battle against the FOTA series. F1 RIP

Message for the mods: after Toyota 's departure, is this sub-forum still worthwhile keeping?
Imo it could be closed since a new series hosted by the big auto corporations is now not even imaginable

Never considered that the reason the big manufacturers are quiting F1 is because they might be setting up their own series to begin in 2-3 years time?

Why? They say that the quit because of moeny problems, but if they started a new series, they'd only blow more money than normal. No sense really to me.

The money problems were that 50% of the sports income is taken by Bernie's people. Allegedly this equates to the equivalent of 40 million per team. Get rid of Bernie's people and give the teams 40 million a year extra and finances/sponsorhip issues go away. All teams have enough money to race.

I quite agree with this point of yours, but why keeping a dormant thread for 2-3 years?

Much better to close it now and reopen it if/when necessary
