Lyris should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
For those of us going to the mountain

Ok so I know just how much of a disater at the track meetings can be,no-one EVER turns up on time, and usually someones mobile bill just gets doubled try to locate the others and relaying the time and venue ect.

One very cool customer (if he could scrounge permission from the missus) was intending to offer his house for a Saturday night funtcion, but it's looking like that aint going to happen.

So, because I'm rather interested in meeting all you crazy people, I'm suggesting we have a meeting held Saturday evening at well a Pub (where else given the theme of the weekend??)

Now to do this we need a concenus on the pub and the time, (oh and we might need to coax some of the mountain dwellers down from their feral little hideout ).

Any suggestions people, or am I shooting for the stars even trying to organise a meeting????

Phuuah.. meet the ferals that hang around in here? No thanks. Would rather have all my teeth pulled without anaesthetic!

I will be there though, Scarlet Pimpernel style... they seek him here, they seek him there... they cannot find True Believer anywhere .....

I haven't contributed much on Ten Tenth's (I use to contribute to Conrod)but a good Pub to go to is The Railway and it's not far from the track.

I like the normally-quiet Victoria myself... way quieter than the ones in the main street, or indeed the Knickerbocker...

And I used to contribute to conrod too... once... the memory is slowly fading..

You expect people to come out behind their usernames?

Te he he, I just noticed the battle of the signature going on 'round here;
Ian and Shelly you two are far too hilarious

Anyway, Sevi, I already know what's behind your username, and a few others too......

True Believer you are a piker.....

And we need some more volunteers please

May everyone who is going to the Great Race have a good time there.

I would come down for it myself but I'd have to be medicated to get through the very long plane flight from the states.

Despite being from the USA, I have followed the race since '81. Wasn't that the Dick Johnson-rock thru the windscreen year?

My partner in the motorsprt sponsorship business is from OZ and says a trip to The Mountain is a must.

Anyway, V8 Supercars and the great 1000k race are fantastic. I plan to follow the action from this years race on the net and hope for a FORD victory!

Kurt

PS- Tell Ford of OZ to send us the Falcon GT. GM is sending us the "GTO", so why don't Ford do the same ?

Wasnt the last time Waylon Smithers took a holiday when Homer was left in charge, and Mr Burns started to do things for himself, reducing his dependence on poor old Waylon?

With apologies to the Seekers.... read the words... they are quite powerful if you think about them....

Hey there Tony’s Girl. Swinging down the street so fancy free.
Nobody you meet could ever see the loneliness there inside you.
Hey there Tony’s girl, Why do all the boys just pass you by?
Could it be you just don't try or is it the clothes you wear?
You're always window shopping but never stopping to buy.
So shed those dowdy feathers and fly a little bit.
Hey there Tony’s Girl, There's another Tony’s girl deep inside.
Bring out all the love you hide and oh what a change there'd be.
The world would see a new Tony’s Girl.

Hey there Tony’s Girl. Swinging down the street so fancy free.
Nobody you meet could ever see the loneliness there inside you.
Hey there Tony’s girl, Dreaming of the someone you could be.
Life is a reality, you can't always run away.
Don't be so scared of changing and rearranging yourself.
It's time for jumping down from the shelf, a little bit.
Hey there Tony’s Girl, There's another Tony’s girl deep inside.
Bring out all the love you hide and oh what a change there'd be.
The world would see a new Tony’s Girl.

Well, somewhere at my parents house (and they spring cleaned last year) there is the original LP version of that song.

I used to play it when I was little (but then again I used to do a lot of daggy things when I was little)

LYRIS given whats been happening with me and too many people knowing too much ( The details of which you know about - with recent events) Do you really think it would be sensible for anyone to come out from behind their User name voluntarily. I wouldnt think it to be a good idea and dont advise anyone do it.

The pub sounds like the go. I agree with GTR, the Vic is a good place to go.
