Comprehensive job as ever Marcus
Once again a rather messy race littered with silly collisions and full course yellows. A deserved win for Carpentier - well done to him. Junqueira's the gainer in the championship as Bourdais and Tracy were forced onto the backfoot. Looking forward to Las Vegas now! |

Patrick Carpentier:
"I really love this place. I guess you have to flip over the fence to do good here, because I have done real well here since that incident!" Great win for Pat, he was in dominant form. Other than his rather lazy or safe start he was truly the class of the field. Bourdais IMO would have eventually succumbed as well if it weren't for his problems. I watched the race on Race Director and it was quite entertaining to listen to PT's pit radio after Pat passed him in the pits. He was swearing a blue streak and just *****ing at his team. I had to change it over to Tag's radio when the kids woke, don't need them cursing like PT. Bourdais looked like a rookie again at some points, especially when he screwed up his braking and tore off his front wing end-plate. Wakey-wakey Sebastien. Speaking of rookies poor old AJ buggered it up again. Rather poorly timed attempt on Servia, but give the boys his props. He is going to be a force to be reckoned with. And three cheers to Servia and Dale Coyne racing. Great to see them on the podium. Servia deserves some kind of reward for his driving this season. Instead of a trophy maybe they'll give him a stronger car. Bruno's lucky to be in a championship winning position; Vegas will be the perfect opportunity for him to really step it up. Make or break time Bruno, let's see what your made of. |

Bruno is the man when it comes to ovals. Don't worry about his performance in Vegas. I say right now he is the man to beat, hands down.

I predicted a Coyne top-6, not a podium!
Well done, Pat and Oriol! Every time the announcers said "the next race in Vegas" I got goosebumps! |

Oriol was 3rd!
Surely this equals the best ever result for Coyne, if I recall correctly... (Moreno was 3rd at the inaugural US 500, back in 1996) |

A shame about Wilson's clash at the chicane, although I do support him I feel when the other car hit him it wasn't 100% his fault because it's a blind entry....although Zanardi managed it in 1996.

Wow, that race-track is gorgeous - I have to get there some day! Every time I see the cars through the corkscrew section and the following few turns I'd swear I could feel the change in elevation in my stomach
AJ's comments afterwards were rather remarkable; I don't think I've ever heard a race driver sound so humble. Said he was actually happy that Servia was able to carry on and was doing well! Thanked the team a number of times and called himself a bonehead. He was being really rough on himself. Maybe unnecessarily so, but I'm liking him more and more with each race. Anyway, I certainly enjoyed the race and it's definitely making the championship fight look a little less one-sided. Justin Wilson's season isn't working out as well as I might have expected. And once again, Servia is doing a storming job in that car. |

You're right about AJ's words, Testure.
I'm quickly becoming a fan of his. |

actually what it was that after the last round in montreal Pat and tags were equal 4th on points , and now after laguna Pat jumped ahead on points but stayed in 4th and tags dropped to 5th , if you get what im saying ?
so therefore i didnt think that Pat needed a Plus sign because he actually stayed in 4th but well picked up |
