lowdown should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Testing, Testing.

Went to willowbank yesterday to watch the final test before Bathurst. T8, SBR, DJR, WPS, PMM, PCR and Kanga Loaders Racing all their. No real times set just running stuff in. SBR 4 didnt turn a wheel untill 12 noon. Had the team crawling all over it. T8 fit all the Bathurst practice stuff into 888 and 88 for the arvo run with only Lowndes and Whincup there. Just Courtney and Ingall there for SBR as well. Morris had what looked like a new car just black and orange paint, no numbers or sponsers to be seen. Great day.

Seems I need to check facts before asking questions...seems only Luke was missing?

SBR PRESS RELEASE:

James Courtney, JELD-WEN Motorsport
“We got a lot of stuff done yesterday and pulled together lots of information. It was probably the most promising test we have had this year.

“We made some good headway in areas where we really needed it and have been struggling. We ran Bathurst set ups and got the balance right. We also found some things that will help us for the remaining races so it was a really productive day.

“Glenn drove the car and was super happy with the things that we had done with the car so we’ve got two happy drivers.

“Now I’m just really excited about getting to Bathurst with what we are sure will be a really good car.”

Glenn Seton, JELD-WEN Motorsport
“There was definitely a marked improvement in the JELD-WEN car from Sandown so we are moving in a positive direction. We now have to see how it responds and how the gains transfer to the Mount Panorama circuit.

“I was comfortable with the changes that James made yesterday so we should combine well for the Great Race, I’m looking forward to having a go.”

Have you considered posting them on a photo-album site like fotopic? They are free and very easy to use.

Umm....well I guess there were about 100 other people there from different teams...umm.....soooo.....why would SBR say that only Russell, Glenn and James were present then?

This suggests that L.Youlden wasn't there.

Hardly a psyche advantage, I'm not sure that Lowndes would be disturbed by this "potential conspiracy?"

" total disaster, we only got half a days running looks like were really behind the 8 ball for bathurst and dont know how to make it go faster "

As i said i was there from 9-2 in the pits mainly around T8 who were next to SBR and i did not see Glenn and he definitely did not turn any laps in that time if he was there. The 4 car was up in the air untill 12 and then James did the running. Maybe Glenn had a run later. All the teams were doing was running stuff in. DJR looked like the only team that were doing some quicker times.

lowdown, you were there till 1400, the teams would have been there till dusk.

Plenty of laps can happen in that 4 hour slot.

Yep, early morning and late arvo are when to pull your stopwatch out at QR. Forget seeing great times in middle of day unless someone has really nailed their setup.

As i said again! For the 5 hours i was there he did not get in a car, I did not see him and i did not see his ute there that he always drives but once again that is not to say that he didn't show up and do some laps after i left. I'm not here to make crap up i only post what i see unlike many other poeple around here. I don't care if you can't believe what i'm saying that is up to you. I go out to almost all the test days at QR and i know how the team construct their day of testing and the day wasn't about setting times it was about getting the cars set for Bathurst.

On RPM yesterday, Mr Seton made a couple of interesting comments.... the braking issue was retested and resolved by changing brake fluid type (to the more popular, although not sponsored Castrol product perhaps??) and brake linings....

A bit scary that they are playing with these things so close to Bathurst....

.. although in regards to brakes, Mr Seton would have plenty of inside knowledge of what works and what doesnt, after enduring a Sandown in a brand spanking new PJ EB a few years ago, and pulling it up by throwing it at the fence when the centre pedal went to the floor.

The "Baby Faced Assassin" looked confident, happy and positive yesterday... which hasnt happened in quite a while.

The GTRMagic family fortume ($5.27) sits on this car for the win!
