I doubt most people have heard of it. I never had until a friend from NZ keep telling me about it. Finally years later I bought a copy from NZ. It's kinda of weak in some areas, but when one considers it was filmed for $300,000, it's puts that in perspective.

It may be unappreciated in many overseas countrys but in Kiwi land It has a very strong following. If the survey was on "NZ Best Movies Ever" this would be up in the top 10 for sure
