Richard Craill should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Team Big Pineapple Racing - made up of Brad Rankin (Car owner) plus Terry Knight, John Goodacre and Matt Kingsley - are the first entrants for B12hr '13. Will run in Class B in a 997 GT3 Cup Car. I'm told they actually submitted their entry before they officially opened, so if enthusiasm counts for anything, they're on to a winner.

Prelim entry list out and about early next week.

Great to see that entry, and great to see the rebirth of one of Australia's great icons.
Lets hope no one oils the bottom of the hill for this out lap
With the Scudd driving the Bull so well in GT is there any chance of seeing it back for 2013?

Scudd won't be able to help himself, especially if next years B12 has a big field.

He'll need some new crew now with his old fuel fairies entering as drivers.

There's some unexpected entries.
Nice to see Muehlner with 2x GT3R entries. UAS' electing to enter the Mclarens is pretty ambitious, considering its performance/reliability (or, lack of) thus far.

Seems pretty likely there'll be both additions/removals between present time and race day. Here's hoping we see increased volume on behalf of the local (GT3) contingent.
Provisional total is currently 37 entries.

Is Audi Sport coming back for the hat-trick? I hope so.
Maybe Rod Salmon can get Damien White back for another tilt at 12 Hours?

Good provisional list so far!

Nice provisional entry list. Great to see a team like Muehlner Motorsport entering, they race in World GT with mike Halliday as one of their drivers.

Excited to see two mclarens from United Autosports, Brabs is racing for them in Blancpain this year would be great to see him in one of the cars.

Fingers crossed we don't lose the above entries.

Well, if what is listed there turn up, I might have to head to Bathurst.
What a refreshing sight it will be instead of 28 taxis. How many more
entries are the likely to get, realistically.

Just thinking out loud of some possibles....

Audi Sport x 2
Quinns x 1 (Ferrari? Porsche?)
Erebus x 2 (shared with Black Falcon again?)
Roger Lago x 1
Eggleston Motorsport x 1
Supaloc x 1

Didn't even compare in entries this time last year, or year before. Not even close.
With this much interest already, it can only serve to encourage more to compete.

Most of the late withdrawals for 2011 were local entries - the majority of which were tourers. There were only two (local) GT withdrawals (Salmon Mosler, Freestone Corvette), as far as I'm aware.
If precedent's worth using as a basis for judgment, the list seems well-balanced. Early days yet.

Those seem pretty reasonable assumptions.

Providing there's another Audi factory presence, Phoenix/WRT are the only realistic options (for multiple entries). Joest's being here in 2011 was purely a result of circumstance.
Another outfit (TKR) now operates the 'Race Experience' operation. Seems pretty likely Phoenix would be utilised again, as a result of experience. Like any other outfit, it's a matter of funding being forthcoming.

No idea as to whether the Quinns or, Scudd are (or, aren't) planning a presence. The LP600 in the JBS livery was easily one of the more attractive cars this year - here's hoping it's there in 2013.

Black Falcon's being here seems entirely dependent on either a) willing gentlemen, or b) regional factory backing (which doesn't seem likely). Erebus' efforts shouldn't be overly dependent on BF's presence - unless they're depending on Black Falcon sourcing gentlemen/funding.

Seems they could likely secure Slade/Bleekemolen with minimal effort. A token gentleman shouldn't be overly difficult to secure - Curtis is still competing with BF in Blancpain.

No idea as to whether Supaloc or Eggleston plan on being there.
An increase in local presence would be nice.

Might be worth asking a few questions at EC in a week and halfs time when the GT Championship is racing.

Would love to see Teddy Huglin back in his yellow Lambo.
Whether all of these teams turn up is one thing, but the intention is there to do it I guess. I think it would be a bit naive to think they all will run. A great start, hope the momentum is maintained in gaining interest and entries.
Does anyone think that the Quinn's hold the key to how many local GT entries the race gets? I just think that if the Quinn's run ( and I'd love to see them there next year ), other local GT efforts may be persuaded to at least have a closer look at running in the race.

I'd also suspect that a lot of the local guys will be waiting to see the 2013 AGT calendar before committing too...you assume that Clipsal will be early March again but until it is confirmed...

Rod Salmon and Peter Conroy are already on the list, along with Maranello. I don't think that Tony is that huge an influence that if he enters others will follow in a Pied Piper style fashion. I suspect it would be more budget and reliability motivated than anything. If Clipsal stays in roughly the same spot as this year, the timing will work well.

Right here!

There is no doubt whatsoever that Audi were beatable this year. The race pace was slow due to weather etc, and even the winner made a mistake.

There's every chance that Teds pace would have been enough to keep us in with a chance for the win. Cam and Kox, and Luke were awesome, our car was every bit as fast as anyone elses, we're still gutted about a missed opportunity.

Ted's still as eager as ever.... who knows what could happen..........

KSM86 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I think thats a good sign that the list is that big. this time last year it was only 10 entries from europe and they all pulled out. With alot more time left hopefully it the entries increase so that when some do pull out it will still be a field of 40 cars!
