more Toyota changes...

Team manager and driver academy director Paquali replaced by Richard Cregan.

engine guy Norbert Kreyer out, no indication of replacement.

Tsutomu Tomita, Chairman of Toyota Motorsport and Team Principal of Panasonic Toyota Racing said: "We have discussed this decision with all personnel involved in the changes. We acknowledge that the action we have taken may be seen as severe, particularly in view of the significant contribution made by both Ange Pasquali and Norbert Kreyer, not only to the current Formula 1 programme, but also to the World Rally and the Le Mans projects. However, the duplication of function and responsibility created by this previously complex organisation and the need to establish a simpler and more effective organisational structure, which is acutely focused on achieving our ambitious goals, has led us to make and implement this difficult decision."

Iron Mike Gascoyne looks to be clearing house.

Streamlining management structures is always a good thing.

Teams run by manufacturers often suffer from "too many cooks" syndrome.

Then why don't Ferrari get rid of excess baggage as well?
I can think of a few, like Todt, Brawn, Byrne, Schumacher, Montezemolo (oh wait, he's gone already, isn't he??) and several others!

Ferrari's management with those individuals works.

Each has a clearly defined role and does it.

Ferrari used to be the model of a poorly run ship. These days they are now the model to follow.

Too late. the signing of ralf was a corporate not a racing one, another lost year for Toyota.

Yup, they will be renamed Toyota "donkey derby" F1 for 2005 and head held in hands for many races for whoever made that decision.

I thought Norbert Kreyer was their genius engine designer who Mercedes amongst others were trying to poach a couple of seasons ago.
