Apparently Mclarens Blancpain programme will be announced within a week

I think this is pretty much the large major effort yet to be announced, other than some of the Am Ferrari’s

Actually, nothing from attempto yet too

This is got to be the Mclaren factory programme surely-

- Racing Engineering studied a GT3 program that was to mix Blancpain GT Series and International GT Open. Finally, Alfonso de Orleand Borbon's team will provide technical support to a team running in Blancpain GT Series but not under its own name.

Now that’s a shame. Honda really need a Pro effort to show off the car at its best.

Sounds like this is by no means a pro effort.

The Button Rocket car may well be running Silver but I think with a high publicity name on board Honda will be seeing the opportunity to tie in and show more support in the long run.

Id guess thatd be the effort theid want to get behind if any, JB is a Honda driver / ambassador after all, and RJN are a pretty professional and quality team. Seems like this years effort is a precursor

Test days for the Blancpain Endurance Cup and Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe start in 2 days time, so I expect we will see formal entry list very soon.

Heres how it looks like it stands-

Around capacity full season entries for the Sprint Cup, 25 with a capacity limit of 26.

And again a pretty huge 53 expected cars full season in Endurance, with an additional 4 cars already announced for Spa Only, plus the partial season including Paul Ricard and Spa for Villorba Corse. We can expect to see plenty more cars at Spa of course.

So both series look like they will have bigger grids this year, Endurance up by a few (announced 50 last year), and Sprint up pretty nicely with potentially a 25% increase on last years announced full season entry.

WRT have pulled back from original plans, and no Mclaren. Shame for both

Lexus are also no longer on the list for Sprint, Black Falcon & Grasser are both doing only one car instead of 2 each. Santeloc 2 cars instead of three.

No PRO BMW's anywhere to be seen!

Overall ended up fairly disappointing grids, the endurance is actually smaller than last year even though they are boasting a stronger field.

Cant get my head around why Mclaren hired so many factory drivers if they arent running Blancpain

Those new Evo Lambo and Audi’s have been popular.

Aston seem to be doing the best out of the English Brands with their new spec cars

Shame,Odd really,a new Mclaren GT3 but not in the biggest GT3 grid around. You'd have thought they wouod have given it a real go.

GT Open and British GT look a lot better even though they dont have the numbers but do have more variety which what I think GT racing is all about.

That seems a little extreme. What is missing other than McLarens? 49 cars - probably over 50 by the time the event comes around - at Monza will still be awesome.

It's perhaps a sign of how spoiled we've become by this series if a 49-car, 10-make field feels underwhelming.

That's a very good point. I was a little disappointed, mainly with the lesser variety in the Pro class with no Nissan, Jaguar or Lexus (or McLaren or Honda) but you are spot on with that assertion.

Does make me wonder why McLaren signed up a bunch of works GT drivers recently.

If anybody wants to see more Nissans and Hondas, watching a few Super GT races this year would a good idea. Actually they even have a McLaren signed up.
It's a shame there are no manufacturers, but I can't complain much about a 50 car grid.

What actually Rathel is organizing? Lambo cup or high expenses Italian-German gt3 brands club?
Would be more interesting to visit some lakes and sights in Lombardy
